Temporary Reinvention - Making myself respectable
Hello, comrades. Yeah, I'm new; sorry my first post has to be a request. Sorry if it's in the wrong forum. Sorry for apologizing twice in the first three sentences of the God damned thread. Ah, but I digress.
On the weekend of 21 July I'm going to find myself in a situation where I'm surrounded by (for lack of a better term) yuppies in training; high-schoolers and undergraduates who are just dripping with self-confidence and an eagerness to tackle the cliched suburban lifestyle. You know the type of people I'm talking about; think Eagle Scouts. National Honor Society. Young Republicans' Club. Valedictorians. Alright, good; you get the point.
Now, normally, I would consider these people to be rather unsavory, but on the weekend in question, It is imperative that I be not only able to openly mingle with these people as one of their own kind, but also able to convince a few select administration-types that I'm actually quite a desirable yuppie-in-training (in any way 'desirable' can possibly be applied to that term).
Bear in mind that I am the polar opposite of this breed of person; at seventeen, I carry all the inherent traits of a long-haired, sarcastic, liberal activist of a good-for-nothing-punk-kid.
Now, hypothetically, if I intended to mingle with this "Honor-roll" crowd, does anyone have any tips as to how I could prepare for this charade? I'm naturally charismatic, and quite good at improvisation, so it doesn't have to be perfect; my main concern is that in no way do I want to change myself permanently. When I leave this thing, I want nothing to do with this crowd ever again.
So has anyone dealt with this sort of people in the past? Any subtleties I may not have picked up on while watching these folks in the past? Any way I can dress, speak, or carry myself that might help me fit in?
I apoligize if I'm being a little vague, but if it bothers you that much, go fuck yourself. (I can get away with saying that? Jesus H., I love the internet).

Yeah, I've got the clothes down... The haircut occurred to me, but it's going to kill me (figuratively, of course0. I have a Sampson complex going on with my hair.

Yeah, I don't plan on growing up any time soon. I'm allergic to responsibility.

Re: Temporary Reinvention - Making myself respectable
Pull it back into a ponytail, should look nicer. What clothes are you planning on wearing? You might need to work on that. And like the person above suggested, get some small, square-framed reading glasses, it makes you look smart.
And, I think I'm going to need a picture.
