Less common STDs
So I got some bumps on the penis but they were really small and really minor and did not hurt, so I did not think it was anything dangerous. Turns out I asked the doc and he said I had Molluscum Contagiosum, a viral STD. He said it really casually and I had a wave of anxiety (he said nothing else about it). I go home, look it up, it is a skin infection that is transmitted through physical contact. Thing is, it cures itself sometime between six weeks to four years. If it does infect the genitals specifically, it is considered sexually transmitted. However, this is so minor that many doctors recommend you treat it at home.
So thanks to a lot of rubbing alcohol, a needle, and a razorblade I cut the larger bumps (2mm) off entirely and cut a hole in the smaller ones so the infection inside could be extracted and sterilized. Seriously, there was a lot of rubbing alcohol. The thing I can't believe is that this is actually doctor recommended and actually effective.
So I got a viral STD but it was apparently no big deal (you just need some nerve and to do some extreme research). Scarring is a risk and other methods included just removing skin with tape to open the would and bleed the nastiness out. There was no chance I got the disease sexually, it is by physical contact - who knew?
So this is something I never read about in my textbooks. Any else have experiences with lesser known diseases like this?

Razor blades, needles, and rubbing alcohol!?!? Sounds like a remedy I wouldn't be trying anytime soon!

Defekt(ive penis) i think i know what you're talking about.
i busted out my wang for a Dr once (i think i was about 16) and she (yeah thats right im straight) said something about hair follicles and not to worryness. i actually dont trust her at all but she did very affirmatively say it wasnt contagious. mine are on the underside of my shaft.
