Default End of school year (...) Part 2

To those of you who read my previous thread, I asked the guy out, but he took it the wrong way. I wasn't really sure how to ask him if he'd like to be my boyfriend, so while we were talking I was like "Heeey, can I ask you a question?" blahblahblah "I know this is pretty random, but will you go out with me?"

Then he asked where to/when, so I decided to play it cool and act like that was what I was asking. By that time, his friend was hitting him and saying "Dude, it's time to go. Just get her number and leave."

I was pretty embarrassed/nervous, and he knew that. He ended up saying "I'm supposed to be at Theo's tonight, so no. But maybe sometime later."

Thing is, I don't have his number and he doesn't have mine. There's really no way of us talking and I don't want to seek him out if he was trying to say fuck off. I'm not sure if he did want to meet up sometime later. So should I go about getting his number, and explaining to him what I meant by asking him out? Or should I just drop it and move on.

It seems a bit..odd.

I dont know, maybe you phrased it in a weird way that sounded like "do you want to hang out sometime?" instead of "I want to be your girlfriend."

Boys are dumb, and women have way too many assumptions that males are telepathic.

If you really like him, I guess it would be worth trying to contact him one more time.
But if he shoots you down again, It's time to forget about him and move onto someone deserving of your attentions.

By the way, who is this 'theo'? A guy, a girl? a girlfriend? And if just a friend, why couldnt he invite you along?

Yeah, that wording was bad. Next time, try asking them out to coffee, food or [some activity here].

I would just move on. I think it was painfully clear your intentions and if it wasn't, his friend made it so for him afterwards.

If he's that dumb, you probably don't want to be dating him...

Okay, it seems that the wording of the post was worse than what I said in real life.

Oc6, as weird as it may seem, that's how things kind of go where I live. It's acceptable to just ask someone to be your significant other. Theo is a guy, whom I'm not very familiar with, and isn't known to be okay with random girls comming to his house.

Part of the problem in all of this, not by my choice or liking, is that people are put into different groups based on wealth, and yeah. I don't like saying this, but I suppose he's less wealthy, so we don't really have the same friends. It's not like we're completely different though. With that being said, I think partly why I'm attracted to him is because he's more lower-middle class.

It's really hard to explain the situation.

And to Sinister Minister, I definitely think he knows I'm interested now, but it's up to one of us to make the next move. I like him a lot, for various reasons, but I don't want to bother with getting his number if he was just trying to be polite by saying no.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

The last time a girl asked me out I was really weirded out. I said no and assumed she had VD.
