Default Wild World:

I guess right now I'm just in a contemplative mood.

I'm thinking about one of my exes, you know. When I went inside her. I keep hearing this goddamned Cat Stephens song and thinking about what life would be like if I had gotten her fully pregnant. What life would be like if we hadn't done our little "procedure."

I'm just thinking about what it would be like if I had went ahead and gone through with it. I wonder what it's like to be a dad, you know?

Anyone else here have a similiar situation?

I apologize for the title, somehow it submitted without my consent.

How old are you? Well that doen't matter really. What is important in this matter is your economic status. Do you have a good job? Are you studying? You better think about those things before you bring a child into this world man.

I've got quite a bit of money. I'm from an upper class family, you know.

I'm studying to be a political science/psychology major. I'm going to go to med school after I get my primary degree to get my doctorate in either neurobiology or psychopharmacology.

Shit, you had to go and pick a double major that by itself is fucking useless. What kind of job can you get with a psych undergrad? Or a poli sci undergrad? What a god damned moron.

Step 1: Get Major that actually means something
Step 2: Go to grad school, if you need to
Step 3: ???????
Step 4: Profit!

So... uh how is it that you are getting a political science/psych undergrad, but going to med school? You need to have a 2-3 courses in bio, chem, physics, plus at least 1 semester of calc and anatomy+physiology MINIMUM! I think you are full of shit, and unable to choose a proper means to an end. I'm glad that your to-be child was turned into a smoothie and vacuumed out.

Stop being douchebags and answer his damned question.

His choice of qualifications have nothing to do with the thread.

Anyways....

I don't know. I sometimes think about what it would have been like if me and my ex had kept the kid.
I don't think it would be a comfortable childhood to be honest. I don't make tonnes of money and most of what I did make was going towards rent and bills. Having a kid would have been cruel. I wouldn't have been able to give the kid the life it deserved.
Plus her mother would have had me shot by the Russian mafia or something.

In your situation, you have a better financial status than I do but it would have severely cut into your studies. Kids have a way of becoming the most important thing in your life.
The thought of being a father is a warming one to a lot of guys but on a more realistic scale, it's really hard if you are busy all the time or don't have the finances to give a child a good upbringing.

To be honest, I think you made the right decision.

My belief is that you should be financially sound and comfortable so you can give your offspring a good chance at a good life. It's better than being on the dole and raising a child in poverty like so many of the mothers where I'm from. Dopey bitches most of them.

Isn't his choice of qualifications make all of the difference in the scenario of him having a child a while back? His college studies would have been completely disrupted, and his current major would not have left him with a job capable of supporting a child. Med school would be very expensive, even with the wide world of lucrative jobs available to poli sci/psych majors that also took science classes to meet med school admissions requirements.

Upper class kids usually lack in reasoning skills and can't think things through properly, case in point.

I have three bio credits in bio 1-2 and human biology.

Next year I'll get anatomy and physiology out of the way along with calc.

Thanks for playing.

Yeah, I agree. No need to defend me, though, I'm a big boy. I'm pretty sure that most of these people are completely unable to comprehend certain things. If I hadn't thought my major through, why would I be getting it? The bio/calc classes count towards my pre-med application just as my humanities count towards my gen eds and my majors.

People on here have a problem with upper class kids. They say I've got problems with logic ;)

I've never considered it. I've never dated a girl that I thought would be a good mother. I refuse to have a child with a woman if I don't have confidence that she will make a good mother.
