I agree, I just got back from seeing it with a bunch of my friends and my dad. Instead of being "on the edge of our seats", I'm pretty sure we were all recoiled in the back of them from fear. It was pure psychological thriller. The twists were okay. They start to piss you off, then another twist hits. I jumped out of my seat a few times during it. The writing and was well done (robably because it took some of it straight from the story). My father, who had read it, said it didn't follow the story completely, and that the daughter and wife scenario (you'll see it in the movie) was never in the short story written by King.
I like John Cusak, and he does very well in this movie. I completely recomend this film.
