wierd food you like to make
This threads pretty much about food you make that you either invented or something uncommon and may have an odd combination of flavours. I basically wana try some new stuff out, i cant cook and i dont get to experience new flavours often, so any wierd fucked up food is welcome.
My contribution is a little snack i make sometimes cant remember where i heard about it but it tastes awesome to me and thats a vegemite, butter and cheese doritoes sandwich try it out. And when i get the recipe ill try making lemonade scones should be delish.
So basically snacks that are easy to make with little ingredients, but i spose you can post your gormet meals if you must.

Re: wierd food you like to make
Go for a penut butter, ham, ketchup, cheese, gherkin, salt and vinegar crisp, chicken,hp sauce, hotdogs and rice triple decker sandwich. Suprisingly not gross.
Or if you want something more sensible, try a spicy chicken bake, where you coat raw chicken in paprika and curry powder, then bake it and sprinkle more paprika and curry powder over it, serve with spicy rice and a thick creamy cheese sauce. And a dip with sour cream and cucumber slices. Freaking delicious.

Re: wierd food you like to make
Not too weird, but just this morning I made a grilled cheese, bologna, and fried egg sandwich. It was actually pretty good, but I probably shouldn't make them too often.

Re: wierd food you like to make
that might be a bit of an aquired taste yoyobek, sounds like a british sandwich to me though so i might have to try it when i havent eaten for about 6 hours and anything i eat will taste awesome. I will probably ruin that spicy chicken bake but i might take a shot at it.
ive tried a bologna toasted sandwich before, but trying it with cheese and egg? thats genius!

you'll need...
-can of chicken broth
-can of tomato sauce
-egg noodles
bring chicken broth and tomato sauce to a boil, add egg noodles, set to medium, sit and stir for 5 minutes, and bam all ready to go. a tasty cheap snack.

Re: wierd food you like to make
Everybody is going to be all "Eww, OMG thats nasty" but, I've made it a habit to eat a mayo and banana sandwich at least once a week.
All you need is some light mayo, a couple slices of white bread, and a banana. Slice up the banana onto the sandwich, top with mayo.
It's actually QUITE good. My friend told me about it a while back.

Re: wierd food you like to make
-green curry black beans
-ginger[powder]-tomato sauce (for pasta)
-cinnamon-tumeric-cumin onions w/ mushroom slopped in a sub roll.
-"gnome blood" [see recipe thread]
-Toasted pumpernickel (a little burned, and not grocery store shit-bread) with cream cheese and maple syrup on top. A few peanut or cashew pieces go well as a final touch.
-mexican tortilla-wrapped green-ass "leavez" with spicy mustard, balsamic capers, and noodles laid down the middle. Clumpy soba works well, to make little logs.
-"lazy man's salad" = sprinkle salt and pepper in your mouth. Grab a huge handful of lettuce and stuff it in. Proceed to do whatever you were going to do, but were going to have to sacrifice doing for eating. Lazy man's salad and associated prolonged cud-sucking is not recommended for job interviews...

This isn't weird, like throw a bunch of shit together weird, but anyway, STUFFING, like the stuff you put in turkey, is so good by itself any time. Yum yum yum I want a whole box right now.

I'll have to try that.
I guess it's an aquired taste like apple and cheese.
Mayonaise is so great with penut butter and marmite. It really contrasts with the dryness of the penut butter and the tangyness of the marmite.
