I know Kai better then almost any other mod, but that doesn't mean I agree with what he says or posts.
He knows what I think of him, both the good and the bad, but I can extend the courtesy of not being so rude to him when he's leaving. It's a shame that certain people jump at ANY chance they can get to attack someone.

The only things that put me off at all were his lack of interest in GPP at the end and his hatred of Sony.

I don't think he felt that way most of the time he was here. He spoke as if he was an authority on every subject which he talked, whether it be girls, music, video games, technology, etc... He had a very grating personality.

To let the newer mods know, Kai used to post under the name "tru_souljer" (which he claimed he only used because a friend 'dared' him too or somthing like that, despite the fact that at the time he was really into 'souljer' type stuff, white numetal/hip hop rap stuff). All of his posts were completely in italics (except for his 'signature' I think, or something like that, which was just something he pasted at the end of each post.. but I may be confusing him with someone else in THAT department).

When asked REPEATEDLY about why he posted in Italics, he tried to tell everyone his Italics key was broken. Now most people assumed this was a joke, and that he just thought posting in Italics made him look cool or something.

I'm not judging him, really. But I just personally think thats a funny story. That side of him I will really miss, because it was something that gave us so much joy.

I agree with some of the people who've been defending Kai. Now that I have read all the way through this, I'm astounded that so many of you are treating someone you've never met with such disrespect. He just announced he was leaving, making no mention of why and you all jump on him for having "dumb ideas"? Most of you didn't even reply to say bye, you just insulted him. If totse's not a place for freely sharing thoughts and ideas, maybe I'm in the wrong place too.

Well I agree completely with wht you say actually. But the thing is Zok, I think Kai has annoyed several people on these forums so much (like the modertors of R&R for example, who he caused so much grief to over the years, time after time after time...), that they DON'T have respect for him. Showing respect for people you don't have much respect for, is much less respsectful than just being honest.

In theory this thread should be the last time we talk to Kai as a moderator, so why not tell him what we think? The M&A forum is fairly new, and as many of us DO have the respect not to tell Kai what we think of him in front of the REgulars, so I think people just jumped on the opporunity. Especially consiering he stopped posting for several months, this is really or only opportunit. Though of course now that he's a moderator again... who knows!
