Your friend sounds like a cock, you should tell him how you feel about her and just ask him to stop being a jerk, if he carrys on then i was right about him and in which case you dont need him as a friend, and since he is a wanker hes bound to mess up with the girl when she realises what hes like and then you can be the caring friend who takes her out to cheer her up when it all messes up... ;)
And the girl deserves to know how you feel about her, no doubt she has already caught on about how you feel about her , but maybe shes too scared about making a move and risking ruining the friendship? for all you know, she could feel the same about you and is just playing your friend to make you jealous or whatnot? you probably know what girls are like, they like to play games.
So yeh, hope it all goes well and you manage to get with her. I am in kind of the same situation and the girl keeps dating other guys :( I told her i liked her, she wasnt interested, but at least she knows! so make sure you tell her. keep us updated :)

Happened to me. Exact same thing.

Ended up with me being jealous for a longass time and pretty much hating my friend for awhile.

Then he had a dream where this girl had a stinky pussy and then he dumped her after that. Lawl, pwnt.

The chick was into me, I knew it too. I just didn't make my move. She even told me she would be up for things if the guy made the first move and I guess I never caught on. Was too shy.

I really liked her a lot but I realized that she's just a girl that I came to know. Stopped talking to her and thinking about her completely.

Then I found my current girlfriend and she's perfect for me and I've been with her 8 months.

But anyways, if you really like her - make your move man. That was the one thing I regretted, even though I'm glad I didnt make my move because that's sorta how I met my current gf.

I went through exactly the same thing, best mates since we were little kids then puberty kicked in and I got the most incredible crush on him.

I found out years later he felt the same about me but we were both too scared of spoiling our friendship to do anything about it.

He's married now with kids but he admited that not asking me out was the biggest regret of his life......mine too!

Lifes too short to waste a potential good thing, my advise is go for it!

I'd let it go man...

I know it'd be tough, seeing as you like her so, but I think you are just setting yourself up to be let down. If they take a liking to eachother, it would take one hell of an act of heroics to woo her.

Secondly, it is your best (male) friend, if I understood correctly. It would be just as assholish for you to try to put a fissure between them as if he tried to steal her from you.

Let it ride, find another girl.

Too much thinking, not enough action. It's understandable. Nonetheless, you need to talk to each of them about it. Openly and honestly. It's not the most pleasent task, but if things are to move forward in the direction you're hoping, it's what you're going to have to do.

I'd find out her feelings on the subject, regarding your friend, before I said anything. Since you do care about this girl, her happiness comes first.

First of all: Did your friend tell you he was interested? If so, then did you tell him you were interested too? If you didn't, then he's not in the bad.

The way I see it, if you friend didn't know you had feelings for her, and you make your move, it could end badly. He's already made a move, and from the sounds of it, it was a good one. So your hourglass has been turned upside down, and the sand has started pouring away.

If she's taken interest in him, and she's talking to you less, you have every right to be anxious. If I were you, and I'm not, I'd tell her that you have feelings for her. If she doesn't reciprocate, tell her not to worry. Don't push the issue after that. Best case scenario is that she likes you too, and a relationship could follow (it's a possible option, believe me). Most likely case (well, from my POV anyway) is that she might not feel the same way about you, but she'd still want to be friends with you.

Maybe you should talk about it with your friend, if you'd trust him with it. On the other hand, that could be a very bad idea. Just make sure that at some point or another, he knows.

That's my two cents on the subject.

Her best friend is like my sister, and she tells me I should ask her out etc.

Uh oh! I don,t know aout anyone else, but it sounds a little like you have been placed on the evil "friends ladder" from which there may be no return...

Whenever I get one of these lines from a girl, I immediately move on because I know I have no fucking chance ----> they "friend'd me."

-You should totally ask _______ out!
-"You're like a brother to me"
-"You're like a big teddy bear"
-"I feel like I can talk to you about anything"
-"You're so nice"
-"Can you help me with my homework"

Those are the classic "I really like you, but I am totally sexually unattracted to you" lines.

The thing I find disturbing about women..... is that all of the ones I have encountered either *know* they are attracted to you and you can see is in their eyes and the way they move around you, or they *know* that you don't have a snowball's chance in hell at sexing them up in any way.

It's weird, almost like men are typically the only ones who can "become attracted to" a another at an exponential rate over time. [I KNOW there are exceptions, ty, I'm generalizing here]

Women *seem* to be "settling for less" when they have a relationship with a person they were originally unattracted to. ["lowered expectaaaaaationsssss :)"] I am guessing this based on the fact that I have more than one lackluster friend with a mildly hot girlfriend. One of them sleeps around a lot, one has incestual relations with her cousins every weekend [ew...meh], and one of them seems really down by default.

It makes me really uncomfortable when I hang out with both of them because in most of the cases, their girlfriends took an instant liking to my odd way of communicating and funky mannerisms and give me that "I want to fuck you" eye flashing every 2 seconds and I think it makes my friend uncomfortable. Me coming around seems to really "light a few of them up" and I think my friends can tell :(. Pals are all easy-to-know guys though, and I don't want to fuck their shit up.

ARG..... relationships. A confusing thing.

I dunno man, it's kind of a shitty situation but it doesn't really seem like anything terrible to me. No one was really out to get anyone... It's just something you should get over. Shouldn't be too hard.
