I'm 17 and i'll be a senior next year. I've known this girl for about a year now and yeah we know each other but its never anything more than saying hi when we see each other. A lot of her friends are bitches and i know they dont like me. I wanted to know if you guys had any tips to get her to pay more attention to me....

Smile at her, ask her to help you with HW or something. Get more involved with her than just 'hi'. But be smooth about it. No sudden movements.

Well seeing as im on summer break right now its gonna be a lot more difficult to see her and stuff. Also i would never ask some girl to help me with HW that seems pretty lame but thanks for the suggestions.

Just catch her when she's not around her friends. I've been in the whole situation where my girlfriend's friends hate me too many times, and its best when she's alone. Then she won't have the pressure of her friends being around her and she won't feel that she has to impress them.

I learned this the hard way: If it's not anything more than "saying hi", don't come on strong. Go out with a group first, THEN get her alone. If you try to get her alone all the sudden, it may freak her out a little. Then again, she may be a different girl than the one I know. Ignore Invision (no offense, Invision), because most girls are going to tell their friends all about it anyhow, so it doesn't matter if their friends are there at the time: They still want to impress them. I don't care who she is: if she's in highschoool, there's a good chance she's like that.

23 is right. Play the friend (cause if she's a "nice girl", i.e. one you'd take home to mom, she'll probably want to know you as a friend first.), but don't get stuck in the friends zone.

I've found that most of the time, this is true. If you don't really know the girl that well, finding something that both of you can talk about can seem a little awkward. Better to go out with a group and see what she's like, then talk about your experiences doing whatever the group was doing, and then veer onto other subjects.

Hmm well the thing is we dont have too much in common and our groups of friends never associate with each other. Remember im still in high school and it'd be odd if i asked her out to dinner or something. Also i guess you'd classify my group as "druggies" and she would be one of the more popular preppy girls in her grade.

Just straight up ask her out, you'll be glad you did even if she turns you down.
