Default In light of my "for support" ban...

I wish to have some sort of slap on the wrist for it where a moderator considers 'support' for a cause to be determental to the general wellbeing and smooth flow of the site.

What do I mean by this?

https://www.totse.com/community/showthread.php?t=2019023

^^It may or may not be a coincidence this occured in HB? HB?!? You say. Well actually no. When I was trying to browse News of the World this morning that particular users silly threads (more then just one, yes) that were locked cluttering up the forum.

That's tolerable to me to an extent. I go into HB, see him rallying support, having posters say they support him. Just pain nonsense

I'm not trying to rag on HB or its mods, and if it happened anywhere else and I knew about it I'd still raise this.

This stupid crap IMO supports my stance on a previous 'unjust' infraction. Hell make it 2 points, or one or half just something so they know they are fucking stupid.

Just something else

^^ Why is SHH still posting in light of that?

And

^^ MLoR posted this. coolstar causing trouble rallying 'support' some might say. newstar666 has admitted to being the person formally known as 'coolstar'. So anyone running a forum that this user posts in might want to consider doing something about it...or not. It's easier to do nothing I guess.

Wouldn't it be easier just to let the mods of those forums do their job and take that giant dildo out yer ass?

I mean, you get riled up over the smallest things.

Oh No! Not outdated information that no longer applies! How will totse ever manage?!

Threads of that sort aren't particularly rare. They don't get much support and occasionally an entertaining thread or two are the result. If they weren't allowed on the site, then people would organize these things through other means of contact, such as IRC or MSN, and they would have far more support and some sort of strategic planning.

Any more questions?

I'm doing my job...someone in B&M wants SHH given the boot. Considering he should have gotten it at least a week ago I think it's relevant to raise this - it hasn't happened.

newstar666 still posting - Why? Aiding a piece of shit that should be gone? congratu-fucking-lations!!

Let them do their job? They are too busy in here defending their choice to save these dipshits rather then fucking them off already.

newstar666 still posting - Why?

He'll just be back with a new name within 10 minutes of a ban.

It's usually better to know who you're dealing with, rather than puzzling it out.

Then fucking put note at the bottom "compliments of Trousersnake". I don't care piss him off now you coward, or let me do it and not have you cry about it.

What's it going to be?

Actually I won't really do it, I don't need 3 guys at me again saying I'm mean. Why not mod up another brainless fuck to HB so you can all get together and do the YMCA?

3 mods, all in a pod not doing a thing. Fucking overkill for the amount of nothing going on there.

newstar666 is a clear name. The next name may 3874923.

It is easier to deal with someone when you can identify them. I have to assume that you can comprehend this concept.

How about this for a concept?

If he comes back and behaves himself it won't matter considering he's not doing anything wrong...and that anyone found to being doing something wrong or have done so in the past get punished for it?

An abusive rep comment isn't something to ban anybody for. Filling a rep comment with spam is, but if you look at that screenshot for more than a second it's obvious it wasn't SHH who did that. See the little white line under SHH's comment? That means it's a new rep comment. The person who posted the spam comment's name is hidden off the bottom of the screen.

Talking in IRC is also nothing you can get banned for on the forums. Banning accounts of people who don't usually spam and who come back is way more trouble than it's worth; it just leads to another spam attack in revenge. With registration open it's been proven time and time again that it's better to leave posters like that alone unless they do the same thing again.

And I don't even see your problem with CK. What did he do? He posted "more than one" (yeah, [i]two) thread in NOTW, both of which were dealt with by one of the mods with no problem. Every forum on Totse gets threads that should be locked all the time. And then he makes a thread 'rallying support'. Rallying support for what? What's he planning to do? Looks like nothing to me. That thread went off-topic after the second post.

So you post three things, two of which aren't against any rules at all and the third of which you blame the wrong poster. The point of this thread is...?

Don't you think trolling HB looking for trouble is just taking things a little too far? I mean, it's one thing to deal with something in your own forum, but you're going into other forums, forums which you admittedly don't like, and you're looking for reasons to infract and ban people. You don't think that's just a little bit anal?

Trousersnake, I know it's sad when you see an apparent moron ruining one of your favorite forums.
But if it's not a forum you moderate, I guess it's not your place to do anything about it..

I wouldnt be very happy if you started infracting people in my forums for the simple fact that I'd feel you were..trying to win her favour.

She's mine! MINE!
