Could I be removed from the moderator list of SG please, Jeff?

It's been great fun, and I thought I was doing okay, but I've received so many hate mail, and some rather..odd emails from posters from HB, it's just too upsetting to bother with anymore.

It's been fun to moderate with you guys from SG.
Regardless of when Jeff gets round to this, as of now I wont be bothering to moderate SG.

I feel like I should say sorry.

SG is a crap forum to mod, I wouldn't be willing to moderate it. I can certainly understand why you would make this choice.

Seriously, I don't blame you. SG is a hard forum to moderate; I remember I hardly did anything when I was in SG because I really didn't know what to do with all the crap that was constantly being posted.

Wow, so every time you get hate mail in a forum that you mod you are going to ask Jeff to remove you? What the hell? I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but every mod that mods SG is going to get hate mail sooner or later. Just because you get hate mail it doesn't mean that you have to give up on a forum, that's just plain silly.

Euda is just upset because his father slipped on a yoyo and drowned in their pool when he was a kid, and they didn't find him for 15 days. :( He had a sort of mental "breakdown" after that, and he can get a little crazy when he is reminded of it.

They do give up after a while. It's been a while now since the last kate hate/fat/nazi thread.

Classic WIntermute Syndrome.

Yoyo, stop worrying about what the children of HB think of you. The only woman most of them have ever kissed is their granny and even she wouldn't give them 'tongues'. If they met you IRL they'd be far too scared to actually talk to you.

It's all about how you react to it, from what I've noticed. I never got hate mail either, because when people did say stupid shit to me, I would just joke around with them instead of defending myself in any way (unless it was an honest complaint, of course). If you act defensive in any way, they'll just keep on. Laugh it off from the beginning and it's not much fun for them. You'll stay under the radar that way, and it will never become "cool" to flame you for no reason.

Not that there's anything wrong with defending yourself against pointless flames, you just can't really complain about further abuse. Judging from this thread alone (I no longer visit SG), yoyo is definitely giving the idiots what they want: a defensive reaction.

Yoyo, I won't suggest staying in SG, because if you can't handle the abuse, it probably isn't for you. Nothing wrong with that. :) Don't take offense, just my opinion.

I Actually had no problem modding SG, it was cool!

It's not so much the hate mail, I can deal with that shit.
But the Emails I've got from people who dont even post in that forum?

I'm not going to go into details, there's no point.
I'd have been quite happy to continue modding SG but other people think differently.

Fuck what other people think; we're here for ourselves and nobody else.

All I really have to say is that I'll take over IF it's needed.

At the end of the day, moderation is often a thankless thing. I don't have a problem with the way yoyo has modded so far, but if she doesn't want to do SG anymore, she shouldn't be left there.

On a sidenote, yeah I'm back with internets sooner than expected.

Anyway, I'm gonna have a bit more time now, so if you want someone to cover UK evenings on SG, wack me in, your call.
