Default Broody for the wrong species?

People here probably know of my general hatred for kids and babies. And especially obnoxious toddlers and Eminem wannabe 9 year olds. The nasty fucking shits.

I've allways disliked babies.I've never understood how people could fawn over these ugly, bald, incontinent things that scream alot. They're just like old people.

When I hear a kid screaming in a restaraunt or supermarket, I literally have to clench my fists together and walk away to resist the urge to bounce it's little screaming head off the wall and boot it's carcass into the 'household goods' section.

When I spoke to my nurse about having 'all that stuff down below' removed, (my family has a history of cancer in that sort of area) she was like "But what about teh babies you might want!?!?"
She simply couldnt accept the fact that I dont want babies and never do. She said "oh, you'll change your mind one day."
But I'm not a stubborn teenager, I'm well into my 20s now, and I'm still utterly firm about the fact I never ever ever want a baby.

...But when it comes to guinea pig babies....
Oh. oh my god.

I squeel about guinea pig babies the same way women squeel at newborn human babies.

And I get broody for them, in the same way that women get broody for human babies.

I want guinea pig babies, dammit! Mad

When I go to the pet shop and see all those baby animals, my breasts ache, and my heart hurts when I hear them squeeling and squipping and trying to stumble around searching for food. I feel..I must have them all!

I dont know if this is some sort of mental problem, or if it's even wrong.
Does this strike you as wrong?

It seems odd that I've no problem with abortion, or parents slapping their children.
But if I hear some total fuck talking about hurting an animal, or someone smacks their pet... god help that person.

Totse, do you think this is *seriously* abnormal, or okay?

If I could afford to have a child I'd celebrate, because that would mean I could afford to get a pet dog so I'd get one of them instead.

No. I have no desire to get pregnant or have something festering inside me for 9 months. Or 60-70 days for guinea pigs.

Puppies, well, dogs are a close second.Good choice Enset. Just not those psychotic little yappy ones. I was on the swings today and one ran up and tried to snap at my feet. Mad

Talking about this has made me want to get more guinea pigs.

I almost rescued a middleaged blind one the other day, but some guy who was like, the male equivalent of me beat me to it. Mad

Fair play, Mr "I love animals so much and I'm wearing the same C&C tiberium sun Tshirt as you" ..
But know this, I'm on to you.

Do guinea pigs eat their young? If not, are we allowed to?

This begs the question; what was your childhood like? What were your parents attitudes to children?

I wouldn't say it was abnormal as succh maybe a bit weird to those 'normal' people (who are they anyway) but i know a few people that are rather more attached to their pets than any other human being. Personally I'm agreed I hate small children and babies but they seem to love me...I'm cursed.

I'd only start to worry if you actually lactate around gp babies or stroking gp's gets you wet.

And there is a good reason why doctors are loath to sterilise people under 30 or so. No matter what you say your mind might change in a second. Thats not meant to sound patronising, it just is that way. I was NEVER going to marry/have kids...until one morning I met this girl and eveything changed in a heartbeat, literally. Happens to a lot of people that way.

I'm exactly the same about puppies.
I go all gooey and broody over them. I don't think it's unnatural, you're just releasing your maternal instincts upon another outlette.
But I don't hate children, I'd have to say cruelty toward anything that can't properly protect itself shits me off.

Watch out, you may be having this fellow's children in five to ten years. EEK!

Nonetheless, I wouldn't be concerned unless you were aggressive in your attitudes.

Hehe, yoyo, you're an oddcake. But the good kind. Animal lovers are awesome in my book. I'm a bit the same way. I can't imagine having babies and going through pregnancy and labour and endless years of child-inflicted insanity, but puppies... oh how I love puppies. I was watching a show about the Black Plague today and I was ok with watching the overly graphic depictions of tumor popping and coughing up blood and dead people, but when they mentioned killing dogs I had to change the channel for a while. And I gave my puppy a big hug and he made a sad noise. :(
