Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
Stick to giving profile infractions for multiple accounts or harmful scripts, please. You can give two or three of them via the profile if you need to ban somebody instead of using the ten-point ones. And please don't give infractions to people who piss you off, outside your own forums at least. Mindh4x0rz was not posting scams or attempting to rip off members.
Thanks for keeping an eye on the forums, though, some of those multiple accounts did need banning.

Mindh4x0rz is a little bitch and the multi accounts weren't posting credit card numbers either but they got the arse like he should be.
And it's great how he can give me bad rep now but I can't do likewise so he knows he is a fuckup. I'm a tad disappointed.

Although sometimes I wish it was, "being a little bitch" isn't infractionable. Like I said, I'm glad you kept an eye on the forum but please stick to giving the proper infractions for clear-cut transgressions. It's a hassle when I have to reverse infractions given unfairly.

Read what I said to Jeff in the other thread about how to solve the problem that existed. He deserved a kick in the arse for giving them moral support in my opinion but whatever he got off lightly so no need to push it.
E: Oh and if it is such a hassle why'd you bother for such a fuckup? Can't wait til he slips up. If he mentions my real name or anyone elses either you stand up and give him one for personal info or you tell me so I can

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
You might have thought he deserved a kick in the arse, and maybe he did, but the point is that he didn't deserve the infraction and certainly didn't deserve the ban.
Unless it's urgent (as with the scripters), if you want to give an infraction in HB I'd much prefer you email me or another of the mods about it.
Anyway, it's not a problem, it's all dealt with. Normal service resumes :)

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
This thread frightens me. Heaven forbid anyone like the wrong people when Trousersnake is around.
This is all getting really silly. I almost wish we were never given the ability to infract people. It's a great feature, but it's really done a good job of showing how ridiculous we can be. Infractions are nothing to take lightly, and it's truly worrying to see them thrown around as if someone's access to Totse isn't a big deal just because they "support" the wrong people.

Freedom of speech means just that. Even dumbasses have it.
Unless they're spamming or breaking totse there ain't no need to give infractions.

Dont you ever have to fight the urge to edit someones post, no matter how horrible they are and how much they're ruining a thread?

In HB, it's not a big deal to edit a post. It's often good for a few laughs, but that's the only forum where that's cool.
Trousersnake has gone overboard. Try not to drown.

That is a metaphor. I think that Trousersnake has been infracting overmuch out of frustration. I'm suggesting that he stop, rather than losing his position because of excessive abuse of the system.
I don't see the threat in it.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
Aside from scams, spam, and child porn, is there ever really anything worth infracting in HB? I mean, I haven't posted there regularly in over a year, but to give random infractions like that just seems dumb and immature.

Jesus man, what is with you posting threads 'alerting' us of people that WE need to give infractions?
I think people are giving too many Infractions anyway personally, but you sure don't need to be letting us know every time someone does something that we might think deserves an Infraction.
Dont you ever have to fight the urge to edit someones post, no matter how horrible they are and how much they're ruining a thread?
If you mean that seriously, then maybe you need to take a couple of days off. Totse shouldn't bother you that much. Sure it annoys me plenty sometimes, but the ONLY times you should need to edit a post is if someone is posting personal information, links to kiddy porn, etc etc.

I don't see how this works. Infractions are given for breaking RULES. As far as I can tell Rep is just for whether or not you like the content of a post. Or think its a helpful good post. Thats not something yo ucan Infract someone for.

Yet people are trying to find reasons to infract for it, thus, my advice to use reputation. Isn't that what this entire thread is about? The improper use of infractions?

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
You're all going overboard :p
All this attention over me banning a few spam accounts I banned? And one (not so...IMO) innocent bystander calling rape??
One morning out of however many isn't that bad. Twas kinda like testing the water too.
A few spam accounts lost big deal, one fuckwit not being to post for a few hours even though you couldn't then having the ban lifted? Again, big deal.
Edit: Oh and I never give out infractions much either, maybe 2 (if that) before the other morning. Back under zb3 it took a lot for me to put in a ban request, and even when I did someone would back it up anyhow.
Not to sound like a bitter prick but you all turn on me and let the real shitbags walk all over you. Some of you need to evolve a spine, and get off of mine (get off my back ;) )

Calm down my friend. Nobody has 'turned' on you. I think people have brought up some legitimate concerns here! And I don't see how this equals people turning on you. For MYSELF at least, I couldn't turn on you, because I was never 'with' you in the first place.. and of course I could never be 'against' you either, because well shit, 'wth you' and 'against you' seems awfully silly for totse, does't it?

well shit man getting ones penis in a knot over banning a few spam accounts is awfully silly too right?
The only legitimate concern here is that HB mods let their useless faggot posters get away with anything and everything. Perhaps if they didn't tolerate the ban avoiding accounts they they had to create because they fucked up previously then other forums not dedicated to mindlessness wouldn't have to put up with their shit
And I know you know exactly what I'm talking about. In case you don't the fuckwits post exclusively in HB and &R&R until they decide they are bored and want to fuck up totse.
You might stand on this whole thing differently if people started fucking up say...your precious cigar threads eh?

Theres no need to be an asshole to ME man. I just said that yo udon't need to be telling US who to infract, as this is your SECOND thread doing so.
And I DONT know exactly who you are refering to. R&R is a very clean forum. We almost never have spam, and though we have trolls, the REGULARS in R&R show them they arent welcome for the most part, so they don't cause enough trouble.
If there is a problem in R&R you need to tell me about it.

If/when THEY make it THEIR business to be fucking stupid I'll be an asshole to THEM just so you don't feel singled out okay? Good.
Had to see what the other thread was...the morons that were abusing the then non moderated forums. Lemme point something out
1. Originally you make a point of 'I'll conduct mod-business as I see fit' telling me you don't like to be told what to do
2. You don't care for confrontation
3. As a response to &R&R you ASK of me to inform you where it might possibly need attention, completely different attitude from before
Conclusion:
I still don't think you like to be told what to do in any case and you don't go for the 'asshol-ish-ness' so if I were to tell you to fuck off you'd really dislike it :)

Telling all the moderators "You should infract these people", is not the same thing as saying "Sam, there is a problem in R&R that you may not have noticed."
Yeah you emailed me about a guy giving you problems in R&R, and others have complained about him to a certain degree, but I can only do so much to users who arent actually breaking any rules.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
What the hell are you talking about?
Alright listen. On Tuesday morningthere was a wave of new and blantant spam accounts...okay? In general I won't infraction unless it's in one of my own forums.
When it became apparent that these HB kids were making accounts to fuck with UserCPs and that one account could only fuck over so many in a day so they were making masses of them (yesss open the thread I originally posted) to post scripts in peoples rep.
Now, seeing as there was one mod (me) trying to stop a number of cunts doing it I was outnumbered and thought, well hey someone could help out...yes? Hence this thread. In addition to banning you must give a reason. Did spam accounts really deserve a proper justification. I don't think so.
If you look at what happened...break it down so EVERYONE can understand...To every one account I was disabling (sp) about 2-3 members were having their CP's ruined...azalie and I_like_pie where examples of this.
Why the fuss? Doesn't matter you really as you were no where to be seen. jackketch having a thread dealt with so it didn't look like he ruined it, carried out by me. Updating rabb and yoyo on situations? Me again. Offering a possible quick fix solution? Me.
First posts in this thread? Moderators of the forum that loves to fuck everything over.
Can you not see that hmmm if ALL those members HAD been fucked off totse wouldn't have experienced the second downtime?
Matters not now that Jeff has resolved it but all the shit fighting over wanks blantantly fucking things up and blantantly breaking the rules. You know you'd THINK that would warrant some sort of discipline. I ban some spam accounts (and admittedly one faggot poster that may or may not have deserved it...IMO DID, as he was giving them support) and everyone cracks the shits. Why exactly? Did you people have some sort of attachment to these 5 second accounts?
And that people, is what happened. Fell free to build up fictional crap in your heads as before.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
*sigh*
If you'd just let this drop instead of continuing to argue there wouldn't be a problem. All three HB mods have said in this thread they had a problem with your actions in our forum, can you not just accept you did something wrong?
The issue wasn't with banning the obvious multiple accounts for multiple accounts and scripting, I've even said I appreciated that because it needed to be done. The issue was with you banning them for non-infractionable reasons (even Jeff's said so) and banning members who weren't doing anything wrong and shouldn't have been banned. You only infracted the original poster after he flamed you and said he didn't intend to put your name on the list (is your ego really that easily bruised?); you'd posted earlier in the thread without taking any action. You didn't infract mindh4x0rz for his post 'supporting' them (like "dbdk4lyfe4eva" isn't sarcasm anyway), you infracted him after he told you to stfu. And later in the thread you didn't ban another obvious multiple account because "it can't be proven", like you had some proof about the others. You got flamed, you got your ego dented and you got pissy about it and banned people unfairly in a forum you're not a moderator of, refuse to acknowledge you even did anything wrong and make false claims like that we tolerate the ban-avoiding accounts and that we let other users get away with anything.
And it wasn't you and you alone who dealt with the spam and the scripters, please don't try to make out like it was. I spent an hour and a half banning multiple accounts, tracking down everybody using the script, deleting their posts and purging their threads before you even got online, in both HB and SG. You missed the main scripting attack completely.
The reason the HB mods posted first in this thread is, believe it or not, because you're inviting people to infract users ("dickheads", not spammers or scripters) in our forum. If there's an urgent problem you can infract them yourself (for legitimate reasons, and use restraint; give people infractions via their profile for discipline in foreign forums and give them two for multiple accounts instead of one for something they didn't do, and if it's not urgent you can email one of the HB mods about it. This thread is basically a big flag saying "look everybody, HB mods aren't doing their jobs, do it for them". Try to imagine if I made this thread about GP and you might see where I'm coming from.
Do you get it now? I'm not trying to be a dick either, but you're making it damn hard not to be.

You don't need to try ;)
And I got it, when it was said best...when I said it.
So newstar666 still posting? Cool man, I'd let it go if I was of no substance too.
And I can stand firmly by my bannings BESIDES mindh4x0rz which I'll admit the faggot didn't totally deserve it. You think your "you can't prove it" bullshit has any grounding? If you do you're stupider then I give you credit for. Yes, it is very likely that a similar name bitching about getting banned happens when there isn't a shitstorm happening.
I admire your loyality to the masses of morons, it's fucking stupid, but the loyality you show is out of this world.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
Basically, I'll leave other forums and other mods alone.
If the mods of HB have different rules that's fine and I'll leave them to it. :)
But if those posters come into my forums and fuck shit up like they're still in HB, I will deal with them following my forums rules, not HB rules.
It's that simple.
This thread is scary now.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
Jesus. What happened to Trousersnake? Before you became a mod you were a pretty cool guy. Your head is going to destroy Totse's bandwidth.
Anyway, if you want to go crazy in any other forum, it's none of my business. Just please leave Half Baked (And Moving Pictures, if you ever decide to infract there) alone. I like to be able to trust my fellow mods to make good decisions, and be courteous when they're not in their own forum. If nothing else, they'll at least listen when you tell them that you disagree with a decision they made in your forum. But your actions and your attitude towards your fellow mods shows that you have no respect for any of us, if we disagree with you. That's pretty immature. I'm not going to argue with you much about that, as that's the place for a Super Mod, I'll just say that I don't trust you with my forums, and I'd like it if you didn't infract in either of them.
I really hope the old Trousersnake will come back. I know we all get a little hasty when we first start modding, but we were also willing to listen to people who had more experience and knew what they were doing. To see you blow off the comments of someone like sambob like they were nothing, really bothers me.

To see you blow off the comments of someone like sambob like they were nothing, really bothers me.
*Shrug*
HB used to be somewhere you could go to forget irritating pricks of totse like say CarbonB, whom most of you all bitch about might I add, now HB is the one place you don't want to go...which would be fine just leave the shithole alone right? Wrong. Because what's happening is the pieces of shit come into other forums causing their trouble...I'M STOPPING NOW -
Respect for others? Well I don't respect brick walls either, the one difference between the two being they don't cry about 'disrespect' then say I'm the one with an ego.

I don't think you should be a moderator.
Your whining has gotten quite old. I hope that this is simply you venting over things that are bad elsewhere in your life.

That's not good.
He wouldnt have become a moderator if he wasnt suitable for the position.
But it's an unwritten rule, dont give out infractions in forums that arent yours.
Shit, I made that mistake when I was new, and I've messed up more than a few times.
We all learn from our mistakes..
Or repeat the bastards a few times then learn from them. :)
Trousersnake may have done something wrong but it's no reason to de-mod him.
He is a good poster and usually a good mod, and deffinately deserves another chance.
Dont you agree?

I do agree, I wouldn't remove him as moderator. I simply don't see why he would bother with moderating, or posting, if he holds such attitudes.
I don't see there being any reason for someone with such contempt in them to moderate.
It's the attitude, not the infractions.

Well to be honest, I agree. I odnt thin he should be a moderator with this kind of attitude.. Especially all of the 'faggots' he keeps dropping.
Saying that people should be infracted for acting like 'faggots'. Well maybe youre just a child, and so you use 'faggot' as a general insult... but what if he was really takinga bout giving shit to gay users? I think that would be a BIG mistake.
We should NOT discriminate against gay users in anyway way, thats a big big no no.

Look in the other thread where MLoR is suggesting I made the right decision seeing as how this Mindh4xorz dickhead was (potentially) scripting under one of his other accounts...allegedly.
Euda said Mindh4x0rz should use ONE of his other accounts...
There it is from the horses mouth. MLoR said 'Adrianz' was one of the scripters. Point and case in my opinion.
I agree yoyo, I totally agree ;)
So I admitted to not being entirely sure on banning him, who's going to admit they picked me wrong should that be the case? Don't worry I don't expect it from that lot doing it.
And sambob I'll say 'dickhead' instead of 'faggot' for a generic insult just to make you happy. Two homosexual men tried to bash me one night, I guess they were just a pair of hetrophobes but they can get away with such behaviour because they wear pink fluffy outfits or something I suppose ;)

You didn't even think he was scripting when you banned him, you never so much as mentioned that. You banned him because he told you to shut the fuck up. It doesn't make it the right decision at the time, just that your actions happened to accord with the right ones.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
Clearing my good name ;)
Here's why the shit hit the fan. Don't kid yourselves thinking otherwise
Jeff, could you see to unbanning mindh4x0rz? It was a ten-point infraction given unfairly,
Allegedly I'Unfairly' infracted a user under the name of 'mindh4x0rz'
Well my real reasoning was 'moral support for scripting abuse' but the ban reasoning on totse simply said "cause you're gay" in the interest of saving time in typing a longwinded explaination, to which I didn't believe such scum deserved...maybe I should have to prevent such drama but who was I to know this would explode?
Hopefully Jeff will see this and try to figure out what's wrong soon. mindh4x0rz has done nothing banworthy, and now he's still getting punished for nothing.
Nothing banworthy? Punished for nothing?
Well according to Euda...
He should just use his Adrianz account. :p
Adrianz you say?
...Lets hear hat a supermod has to say about this shall we?
Euda, is this user and Adrianz the same one? If so, I will unban neither. I already banned "Adrianz" for scripting.
Unbanning neither sounds reasonable to me. Unless Euda was just making up that 'mindh4x0rz' also has ownership of the 'Adrianz' username...which would be iffy in saying anyhow considering its been made known mindh4x0rz's real name is Adrian and both accounts have the silly 'z' at the end.
Welly well well how the tide turns. Shut it Mr Happy it's all here.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
You banned him with no justification at all, and no knowledge of what he was doing. You claim to have banned him on the grounds of saying "dbdk4lyf4eva", which is apparently 'support for the scripters' (even though it's actually a catchphrase loads of people use just to acknowledge DBDK are posting), although you'd posted in that thread after that initial post half an hour before he told you to stfu and hadn't infracted him, and you infracted him for the post telling you to shut the fuck up. Just because he happened to be scripting, doesn't make your decision correct; it could just as easily have been somebody who wasn't scripting who annoyed you. The issue is with your actions in a foreign forum; you infracted without justification (and it's only luck he turned out to need banning), and you invited other moderators to do the same, which is an insult to our moderating abilities.
I know you won't even understand what I'm saying, since we've been running through this on MSN for the best part of 30 minutes and you've been saying things like "im smart and you're wrong i think thats much more relevant" instead of actually addressing the point I've repeatedly made. I'm done with this.

I'll be first to admit maybe he didn't deserve it, but he was supporting those destroying totse...deserved a slap for that stupidity - Egging them on and all
And it's retrospective anyhow, turns out he WAS scripting...support in more ways then just one.
I'm sure you're NOT done with seeing as how you actively sought to 'get me' here all fucking week and now its all in the nice light of reality you're too proud to say "I got that one wrong" whilst having all along said it was I that had a big head. Way to go moron. At least since he is done with this I don't need to check back on another silly Mr Happy post.

Next time there's an attack, will you ban everyone offering "moral support" to the attackers?
That's the issue you fucking dolt. It isn't whether in retrospect you made the right decision, it's whether you made the right decision when you first had to make it, and you obviously didn't since your only reason for banning someone is that your ego is more fragile than an egg.

Yeah and him being a scripter is a perma-ban like MLoR said.
I'm glad he is gone and that I banned him which lead to him fucking himself over. For someone that was trying to deceive everyone with scripting on another account of his, you'd think he'd have kept his mouth shut in thinking he might have the two linked to him...which is what happened, which is cool :) But I'm sure he'll be back with an account to follow me around with getting his 'revenge'.
How's it feel knowing you were running to the aid of such a piece of shit whilst being a bitch to me? Fuck I'd be pissed off with all the shit he fed you and that you ate up so readily.

He didn't feed me any shit. Adrian has potential as a poster, though he currently is too cowardly to exercise his own personality too often.
You're the one full of contempt and hate, not I.
People follow you around because you're a dick. They express this by constantly pointing out you're a dick. Something like what yoyobek suggested be done to aludin. I don't agree with it and I think it's a waste of time, but the concept is sound.

And what about the whole bit of scripting or attempting to deface/destroy totse or whatever it's called?
Also what was all that DizZieE or however he types it business all about? Remember that one do you? I guess you can do whatever you want so long as it's in a forum you run right? ...

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
How many times must it be spelled out for you? The point isn't that MLoR later found out that he was scripting. You didn't know that! Like Mr.Happy has explained to you several times, you banned him because he flamed you and "supported" the spammers. NEITHER OF THOSE ARE BANNABLE OFFENSES. Shit, they aren't even infractionable offenses. This has little to do with mindh4x0rz, it's the fact that YOU banned someone for nothing. MLoR kept him banned for a good reason. Somehow you've twisted this around and perhaps now you yourself even believe that you banned him for a good reason.

Someone that needed to be banned would be still around, or at least bitching to you 3 saying he got unjustly banned, if I hadn't had done it.
He got caught out well and truly, I've tried telling a few of you that I banned him for the support of the idiots doing it not for the 'flaming' I got. Whenever someone gets banned if they deserved it and they know it they drop it, if they think it wasn't fair they chase you up on it. In any case if he was an innocent he would have proven himself, and proven me wrong for doing it to the poor guy :( *sob sob* has he done that? Nope. Have you? Well you're all still coming to grips that after bullshitting for a week that you had it wrong.
It's okay, you didn't know. Perhaps if I said "stfu you dunno what you're talking about" you'd get it ;) oh and get upset and attempt to infract me for it...cause you know, that's what happens here right?
Also I love how you say I have a big ego and all this shit but won't admit yourselves you let wool cover your eyes.
Has anyone told the piece of shit he got caught out yet and to kiss the account goodbye? I'm curious. Don't leave your buddy in the dark guys...

Oh come on now that's just pathetic.
Who never said a word about being unbanned? Dizzee or mindh4ax0rz? If it was mindh4ax0rz well perhaps you weren't 'dipshit #2' you just come in as another dipshit along the line. If you refer to Dizzee then that's fine, I never expected the guy to act like a sniveling cunt even if he was in the right.
So please do tell, what was so bad that he did? From what I read it was something a couple of mods couldn't handle. What rule did he break? Fuck man the light is on you now! Funny isn't it? I got mindh4x0r right and you bitch, you fucked up and you think it's forgotten about. I'm not bitching, I'm just pointing out how you fucked up, you're problem not mine. Difference being I can say "Hah that mindh4ax0rz got pwwwwned by himself with a helping hand of mine" all you could say is that you fucked up which you'd never do because you lot never admit fault.

Also saying that works very hard against you. I suggests you think the scripters, the spammers, the multi-accounters and ban evaders are ignorant. Ignorance is not a defence and even if it were I made a thread here saying we should educate regulars on what will get them an infraction and no one wanted it.
If they are ignorant, again its a fault of yours. You've bred morons, but just look where it spawned from.

The reference was obviously towards Adrianz.
There was no fuck up involved with Diz. He simply chose to protest the deletion of a spam thread. It happens on occasion, usually when an intelligent poster disagrees with the choices of moderation. Infractions pile up because of their choices. Diz managed to get a temp ban once care of the moderators of Printed Matter and once by zok. I spoke with him directly through e-mail on a few occasions.

no, that's what I was pointing out. Don't say that, they might possibly consider actually doing an infraction for threat of physical violence, maybe if but why who? They need to think about it and consider possibly doing something ya' know?

I must admit, it's pretty fucking evil to quote stuff in other forums that's been said in Mods and Admins.
Come on man, show some freaking professionalism!

Posting something like that--especially in a forum Euda moderates--is way out of line. Anything said in this forum is meant to stay in this forum. You're acting like a child now.

As amsuing as I find it, it's still quite rude to re-post things.
Tell the other squares to find it amusing. These other such sheep need some direction besides just to dislike anything I do ;)
I'm not sure if this nudged this into being serious all of a sudden or if things got too real for some of us...considering what I find a breach doesn't get a second thought from you lot but if I choose to do something you get a shake up.
So did sambob, instead of posting it here though he needed a entire thread to raise it.

Re: Anyone got an itchy infraction button clicking finger?
Give it a rest dude, practically every person in this forums is trying to explain this to you without being as much of an asshole as you are INSISTING on being. Why are you still being like this?
This is fucking ridiculous, moderators should not be acting like this.
