I think this is a problem for a lot of people..
So could anyone help me how to use mods for half life2, if i dont have the original game? (plz dont flame me im poor) So i heard that it can be done somehow but really no idea. There are so many cool mods for it and i cant play them. I'd really like to try garrys mod too. So anyone has any ideas?

They're like addons, you need the original game files as well as the mod.

Eh, what you're saying is really not logical. How are you supposed to play a mod that uses the full game's files when you don't have the full game? It's impossible, just try finding a torrent if you're cheap. By the by, the game probably doesn't cost jack shit anymore.
