My friend found a knife in a bush and showed it to some one sitting next to him in Math class. The teacher saw and my friend got picked up my the councilors. My friend showed them where he supposedly found the knife but "rumor" had it that he just shoplifted it at walmart. my friend is now suspended for 5 days and will have to be going to some sort of court hearing within 5 days regarding if my friend stays in his current school, or a special school , those who violate a certain no weapons policy in our district. what should my friend expect at this "court hearing". should he just lie?

He's fucked either way. Best he can do is to plea ignorance and ask for them to let it slide this once since all he did was find a knife and show it to his friends

If my friend does tell the truth in court but he lied to the vice principal what would happen? He's already prepared with what he is going to say. Are they going to ask him about it? Or are they going to say, if i continue at my current school or not and that is all thats going to happen
