Talking Robbing someone via Craigslist: an ideal crime

SWIM came up with this idea yesterday when selling something on Craigslist yesterday and it seems so simple

You can create a posting of a fraudulent item. He would recommend you pick something popular so you don't waste time. Set your price and make your posting and try to get a "picture" of the item from google or wherever so it looks like you may actually own it.

Surely it seems obvious but it's necessary to point out that you shouldn't use your email address. If you are looking to acquire a lot of money etc it may be wise to use a proxy to cover your trail just in case. It's really on how paranoid you are.

This is the best part lol. After responding via emails to your new friend you can set up the meeting point etc. It's so awesome that you can control how you want to rob this person. If they try to talk via telephone I would try to steer away from it but if you are looking to "sell" something expensive it may be necessary and you may want to use a prepaid phone for that.

They show up to your meeting spot and you rob them. There's also a lot of potential in how you go about this. You can just grab the purse/wallet and book while they are waiting for you to show up or just sneak up behind with your funds acquisition "weapon" of choice. Hell you could even go as far as to have them meet you at a property for sale that is kinda secluded by just pulling the signs. SWIM would recommend getting their cell phone too to help save you some trouble.

Any suggestions/ideas/problems you see?

Yea exactly. This isn't worth the risk either. Only a nigger would do this.

its clever and very basic

it has its merits

thats why you choose a really rich town for a meet up point. Then you choose a public but empty location like a public park. He'll feel safe in the park because its for "families"

Who cares if a soccer mom and her kid sees you whacking the victim. You'll be outta there with $500 in your hand

Meeting in a crowed area would make it really hard to complete this.

Oh and every time I go and meet someone I always bring one of my buds.

Have your friend spy, and see if they have people with them.
Then if it's all good, your friend robs them.

If they stay their, then come up and ask what happened.. ect.. ect..
And you sound legit. Then they don't think you robbed them.

If they leave, oh well. They weren't their when you showed up.

while ive only done a few craigslist dealings, i carried a knife or kept a baseball bat nearby during all of the meetings. i doubt im the only person who does this. also, it seems to me that most craigslisters are somewhat savy people.
