How to get my girl to work out?
My girlfriend isn't fat by any means, and I love her the way she is. But she is of course subject to today's media, and wants to be 110 pounds and sexy. And her thighs are getting a little chubby.
I honestly don't care, but sometimes she'll look at herself in the mirror and moan "I'm sooooo fat.", as girls do. This kind of annoys me though. I personally can't stand it when people whine about something rather than changing it.
Keeping your weight under control is one of the few things you can control, unlike bone structure or height. So how can I help her, so she'll quit whining? I honestly like her the way she is. She has a gym membership, but can never get to it. She refuses to workout at home or go jogging, and whenever she does get exercise, she pigs out afterwards.
Any ideas?

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
You simply have to stop putting up with it and let her know working out burns more calories than whining.

Healthy sex life. Low fat foods. Working out is not necessary.

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
SEXERCIZE FTW!!!
...on a more serious note... I really think it sounds like she's got a few more problems than quick net-advice could solve.
Of course, if I had to give an answer, this is one of those {few?} times where I'd clone the "ketch is horny atm" answer... make it very fucking clear to her that she can do something about it, or she can stay the way she is, and that you're happy either way... but if she doesn't stop whining she's getting a spanking 'till she does.
...usually, I don't tend towards that answer... but if ever there were a case...

Hahahah, we do sexercise. But it can only burn so many.
Yeah, I guess that's what I've gotta say. I've just gotta tell her to stop bitching.
And she doesn't eat low fat foods because when we're outside, there isn't much choice, and she has a sweet tooth, and likes junk food.
However, I've told her that for now, she's just lucky that she doesn't get fat, but she's gonna get obese when she's older.

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
do NOT tell her to work out. it's really harsh, especially if she's not big.
if she's saying 'i'm soo fat' in front of you, all she's doing is asking you to compliment her. tell her she's gorgeous and you wouldn't change a thing.
if she was really sensitive about her weight, you can be sure she would be avoiding drawing attention to it/discussing it.

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
Maybe something along the lines of "well, if you think you want to loose some weight then we can both go to the gym every now and then"

Well, yeah... but, "fuck that shit, bitch, I ain't got time in this life to play games" would be a much healthier relationship. Seriously. Straightforward openness 'n honesty, 'n maybe some minimal mental security, but even without the security - 'cause fuck it, we're all human - open conversation is where it's at, not some drama-baiting bullshit.
Seriously. Dating like it's third graders is cooler when... they're third graders. If they're not, don't waste your life in stupid shit and either (a) keep it real, and convince her to do the same, or (b) hit that 'n ditch it without pretending it's any different.
In fact, even if they are third graders... fuck drama shit 'n keep it real.
Sound harsh? Yeah... until you're eighty fucking years old and going through hell on some whacked-out sliding-goalposts drama shit just 'cause she's feeling depressed and neither of you managed to hold a fucking conversation in the last few decades, yeah. I assure you, real, actual relationships are much better. If I wanted to waste my fucking soul if the bitch can't fucking come out and say it - or better yet, deal with it, and I'll be glad to help/support/whatever in whatever, 'cause yeah, she's my girl - I'd play guessing-games on fucking phonesex or something instead. Bullshit is bullshit. Tautological, QED. Fuq dat.

Yeah, I guess that's what I've gotta say. I've just gotta tell her to stop bitching.
Word... there's do. There's don't. Both are cool. Not making up your mind ain't.
...although...

I can see where she got the idea. Soooo... umm, does she look fat? :p
Whatever's up, keep it real... it's what humanity's about, let alone any human you might get stuck with as a babymomma. Twice as important there, definately.

everytime she complains about her looks just tell her to goto the gym....offer to go with her sometime, or just to do some sort of physical activity together.

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
Next time she says 'im soooo fat', tell her to work out if she feels that way. If she turns around and say, 'so you think I AM fat!', which depending on her maturity is likely, tell her you're sick of her bitching and if she wants to do something about it, she has to DO something about it.
This is my advice.

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
Mr Stabby is onto something there.
If you say, or even fucking imply that she's fat, chubby, or even remotely not supermodel like, she'll go fucking psycho on you. She's female, remember?
I think the only way you'll get her to do excersize is if you get off your own ass and get her to join you.
Martial arts tend to be fun,as is swimming. Running not so much fun, and especially to one who you're trying to get to do any excersize, running just sounds fucking scary.
I've got a similar problem at the moment. I'm tired, and working alot, and I know I've gained a bit of weight. My boyfriend doesent like it one little bit. He's kind of given up on the subtle hints and tries to drag me to tae kwon do with him.
Fuck Tae kwon do, been there done that.
Thread starter: does your girlfriend have any eating disorders?
I'm just wondering if saying something might trigger her, that would be kind of bad.

QFT.
You could always go to the gym or start jogging...to start encouraging her to do the same?

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
blahblahblah wingewingewinge i hate all this stupid shit, don't complain, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
talk to her, out of the context of talking about her(like if you see some morbidly obese person or whatever), and tell her that not eating junk food is just having a little self control, not rocket science. remind her that it's not hard, next time she bitches about her legs, remind her of her gym pass or say something jokey about how she should eat less junk food. she'll probably get pathetic and upset, but it should give her a bit of a wake up call as to how much of an idiot she's being.
there is a 40% chance she is just compliment fishing, if she really thought she was fat then she'd have done something about it by now. clearly, she doesn't care enough.

Re: How to get my girl to work out?
First off you saying "your weight/figure IS something you can control" is completely erroneous. Everyone's metabolisms are different, so you truthfully don't know what she can and can't do. Also, this may sound like a stereotype..... but does she have any older siblings, mom, or aunts you can compare her to? The truth is you can't really fight genetics and looking at them at their age is a fair assumption how she'll look in the future. Minus of course popping out a few kids or significant lifetsyle differences.
My advice? If you really want to have some fun with it and get her to lose weight in the process, just turn her on to either meth or coke. A couple of weeks with a nice powder habit and she'll lose that weight in no time. (Not to mention the sex will be simply amazing ) Good times had by all!

Yeah, fuck tae kwon do. You want to do jujitsu, where you two get to grapple on the floor, and practice submission techniques. FTW!!!
