Support after breakup
Basically, this girl I've known for a long time just found her boyfriend in bed with another woman. We'll call the girl C and the guy M. They've been dating for more than 4 years, and he pulls a dumbass move like this. The other girl didn't even know about C.
Before M was caught, he told this other girl that C was mentally injured in a car accident and thought she was still dating M, but was just confused about the situation. (I can't believe the other girl believed that bullshit)
This guy has been my friend for about 3 years, so I'm sure he'll try to call me and bullshit me about the situation as well.
Anyway, is there anything I can do to comfort her? Four years is a pretty long time to date someone and then find them in bed with another girl. I'm not sure if I should beat this guy up or just leave the whole situation alone and try my best to be positive around C.
Any advice totse? Ever been in a situation like this?

Re: Support after breakup
Let the girl know you're her friend.
I don't see the point of kicking the ass of every guy that's ever been an asshole to a girl. It happens, hard to condone.. but that's the way it is.

Re: Support after breakup
That's pretty harsh, but what he said was just down right evil. I wouldn't beat him up, but if you know him well enough to consider him a friend at all, just ask him what the hell he was thinking and give him a good talking to. She's your friend, so comfort her. Don't invalidate her feelings or be too much of a sap though, just let her know you're wlling to hear her whining(if you want to, of course).

Re: Support after breakup
C is as shitty a name for a girl as M is for a boy.
You're not a fucking spy, you dont need code names. All they do is annoy the rest of us. If you absolutely feel the need for discretion, you could always make up random names for them and we'd never be any the wiser. Or you could just not use their names to begin with.

Re: Support after breakup
Yeah, it's easier to tell stories with the letters though. Or at least some sort of name.
That said, I don't disagree with anything else's been said.

Re: Support after breakup
The biggest question is; if you have an ulterior motives on....whatever the name of the girl is who got cheated on?
Are you into her, or do you want to do this out of the goodness of your heart?
