Since we have a lot of new mods I thought I'd make a reminder thread that there is a mod channel on slashnet.org, #mods.
The channel was orginally made as a way of contacting admins and other mods while we weren't able to use email, and now it's just a chatroom since we've got vbul and this forum :)
Its a good place to go if you need to quickly contact another mod, instead of making a thread about something minor.

If you haven't used irc before, here's a guide from zok that will help get you into the channel:

To get connected to the chatroom, either download an IRC client or use the free one at totse.com. After you get connected you need to register your nickname so that nobody else can use it. This can be done by typing:

/msg nickserv register [password] [email address]

After you've typed that, you should get a confirmation email with instructions on how to complete your registration.

Once as your've registered, come into #totse (/join #totse) and ask either Zok, Acidmelt or kAtE- to give you access to #mods or leave a post here saying you have registered and want access to the channel. When you sign onto IRC, you must now identify yourself with your password so that the server knows that you're the owner of that name. Type:

/msg nickserv identify [password]

ONLY after you have identified can you join the moderator channel. Type:

/join #mods

If you get an error that says you have been banned, you can unban yourself by typing:

/msg chanserv unban #mods

:)

Wanna give me access? :p

Done.

Access please.

Watch out, I lurk there and I'm mean! Rawr!
