Whatever happened to love? (Rant)
Now I'm not knocking getting yourself off! Hell, one of the better pastimes is having sex with people. It just flat out kicks ass. But have we really become so lost in our world that we'd value the number of partners we had over the love we shared, or how good the sex was. (Contrast "I fucked 20 chicks last year vs. I fucked my girlfriend 500 times last year")
Anyway, what brough this about is my own impressionability and lack of purpose. I enjoy the closeness associated with a partner, and while it's nice to get up after sex and just drive home, it shouldn't be necessary. If your partner doesn't meet your sex wants and needs, get a new one, just find one that you will stick to. I was at a party last nigh and a lot of people ended up hooking up with people they didn't like, merely for the sake of hooking up. Girls really turn into sluts when they drink. They even seem to acknowledge it, so I cannot fathom why they still do it.
I think I digressed, let me try and get my drunk mind back on track. I don't see why people find sleeping around to be a godsend. If there's someone who prefers it to a relationship, please explain to me why, I want to know.
In conclusion, I don't really remember what I wrote (this took 2 hours to write, I was watching TV). All I know is that these are the points I wanted to make.
1) Sleeping around is stupid. If you're bored at a party with a member of the opposite sex, don't jump to the conclusion that "hey, let's just fuck" will be the most fun you can have. I want a relationship, and to get a good girl, I can't do the "sleep with everyone till you find one you like" thing. Not me. So society needs to stop fucking telling me that's the way to go.
2) Cockblocking is really really gay. Seriously, I got cockblocked by 2 girls, a guy in a pink shirt, and a guy who set up a pre-emptive cockblock to reserve dibs on a girl he doesn't even like enough to date. Fucked up? Yes. Even more fucked up is why I didn't rip him a new asshole.
3) Girls feel that even a drop of alcohol in their blood excuses them from being whores. Seriously, get the fuck out of here. You ARE a whore, the alcohol doesn't magically make you something you are not.
That's all, I'm done.

Re: Whatever happened to love? (Rant)

Indeed, it's just an excuse for them to act slutty in order to pursue their various other motives.
As for the other points, at the risk of sounding cliched, it's all about instant gratifacation. Why spend months and months wasting money chipping away at your girlfriend's defenses until you finally get through and get laid, when you can go out, buy a girl a drink, and get laid right there? Relationships are viewed as a waste of time, a longer and more expensive means to the same end. Why is this? Because women are full of shit and for them relationships are just a way to wrangle some guy into spending a bunch of money on them with no effort on their part.

That's the view I don't want to have though. Right now I think all women are stupid slutty whores, but if I find one that's "datable" I'll slowly find out what she's about, then make a choice whether it's worth risking my feelings for her.
I can count the number of women I had sex with on one hand. But I had a lot of sex with them (more or less) and it was loving sex for the most part. If I wanted instant gratification, we'd have a quicky. But it'd still be meaningful.
So what's wrong with that? I'm not saying play into the girlfriend stereotype of giving her gifts for 2 months before she blows you. That's bullshit. I'm not against sex right here right now. I'm just against the wham, bam, thank you ma'am (unless you're fighting a war).
It's not that I'm putting sex up on a pedestal, it's merely that it's fucking trashy to fuck out of boredom.
Also, friends are fucking assholes for the most part. I've got 2 good friends that I'm certain would never stab me in the back. I know they'd pick me over a million dollars any day. The rest of the people I call "friends" can go fuck themselves. They cockblock constantly, they use you as much as they can, and they will ALWAYS put themselves before me.
What was I talking about? I don't know, I'm drunk and angry, but I honestly feel out of place because I come from a time when being decent was the thing to do. I can lots of chicks, and fuck them all, but I'd feel something for each and every one, and I doing something like that just isn't me.
So, do I say "fuck it", and go about fucking every girl I see without any regard for relationships or love, or do I keep being the dumbass that I am hoping to find a woman I can fall in love with and settle down with in the next few years?

I want pussy, most definitely. But I want something more. I want love. Without a girlfriend, you're still alone 99% of the time, since you're only fucking chicks 1% of the time. You gotta find something to do otherwise, and it's nice to do things with people who are more than just friends.
Sure, I can go to the zoo with my friend, or I can with my girlfriend and we'll enjoy it much more. I can't explain it.
Fuck it, I don't want to just capitalize. I want more!!!

Re: Whatever happened to love? (Rant)
On the most part, I agree with you. But then, there are those times when you've just gotten slowly vivisected with a set of bar tools and you just want to be romantically nihilistic for a while.
Whats the harm in people having fun? I for one dont' think love could ever die, seeing as its just finding someone that you like in a certain way more than anyone else in your immediate vicinity. Statistically speaking, the right person for you is probably on the other side of the world, and the person you think is right for you is actually the next few hundred down. Does it matter if you dont' find any of them? On the other side, does it matter if you come across a good deal on the list before you hit one you can be stable with?
If you miss it, then just wait. Love isn't something you find, its something that finds you. Its like a lightsaber. I think. Or Soviet Russia. But either way, it'll happen, or maybe you're some really unlucky bastard.
What you do is, you just wait, fuck what you want when you want, live, and just wait for it to happen. Its not like you can go out and just lasso a life partner. Sure you can lasso a fuck, but not that. Nothings happened to it. It just took a breather for a while.

Aye, why is it only the girl's fault? Guys dont even need to use alcohol as an excuse, they dont need any excuse whatsoever. Girl fucks a few guys? slut. Guy fucks a ton of girls? Woo, what a pimp!
Cause, you know, girls are supposed to be pure, and sensible, and not actually feel any desire for sex. Unless its only for sex with you, or only inside a relationship.

I like having chicks around too but theres no need for a relationship. You can have a couple girls around while you're havin a drink at your place and you can look at 3 dif girls instead ot the same one and probably fuck them all in time if not right away. I dunno my mind operates according to simple equations.
Bitch=less money, less free time, more drama, slow down pace of life etc.
And I'd just take acid if I was going to the zoo. I'd have fun makin up animals with my mind.

Re: Whatever happened to love? (Rant)
Dood you're hanging around with the wrong people. Most of the women I know have only ever slept with one or two guys and the same is true for the men and pretty much all of those people have been with the same partner for 5+ years. I'm not saying I haven't known a few promiscuous people, but they are way in the minority.
Most people don't think the way that you describe.

Lemme guess, you tried to hook up with one of these so called 'drunk sluts' and got rejected, thus you're bitter about it but want to pretend you're not.
That's okay, it's all cool.

Is this a deep south thing, a military thing, a christian thing, or something else all together?

I hope I didn't hook up. I woke up next to someone, thankfully we were clothed.
The fact that I was at a party yesterday is not important. I just had an epiphany when I was high and thought I'd rant about it here.

Re: Whatever happened to love? (Rant)
Love is a beautiful thing....it is also a very shitty, painful experience if gone wrong.
If you spend your life LOOKING for TRUE love, you'll never find it. All you will find is what you perceive to be TRUE. Then, more than likely you will get hurt due to the fact people change. Not everybody is going in your direction, you just have to let your path make the decision for whom you meet.
Don't spend your life looking for someone else. Spend it looking for what you can do you make yourself better. Then the someone will find you.
In the mean time remember this.
"Money rules the world, bitches make the world go 'round."
Spread your seeds!!!

I dunno man, I can fuck alot of girls and every time have it be like it was with someone I love... I just don't love the girl, I love the memory of another. Staying alive is a war, so best of both worlds you got girls to just fuck, but the one you keep fucking ends up your wife.

I don't know...I'm no christian, but a lot of the people I know are. Military people are usually very promiscuous IME, so it can't be that...And southern people are usually pretty trashy, too. I think I just hang out with quality people./shrug

The funny thing is I look like a total badass on the outside. Tall, big, years of shotokan, and very irritable and happy to stomp most people.
Inside I'm like a little girl. Everything bothers me, girls can push my buttons easily, and I'm really fucking angry all the time because I quit smoking.
Yeah, I quit smoking to focus on working out a lot this summer. I might pick it up again, but not for another year at least.
Or were you thinking about something else?
EDIT: I also get angry at other guys, the way that act around girls. I tend not to start fights though unless they're physically grabbing someone that doesn't want to be grabbed. So instead of starting a fight and messing them up, I just drink more and mess myself up. I'm fucked like that.

Why would you quit smoking for a year and then start up again? I quit when I first got pregnant and like 2 years later I tried to smoke and it was like I had never done it before. I mean I gagged and coughed and got all lightheaded! I haven't smoked in...5 years now.

Maybe I won't start up. I'm not a heavy smoker anyway, maybe a pack a week. I won't quit smoking weed, that's for sure, but I will quit cigarettes for as long as I keep active.

You hit the nail on the head. I was talking about the anger, glad you're aware of it.
Try to avoid expressing this anger on the people around you. They don't deserve it, probably.
The self-control is good, but finding a healthier outlet than booze is a good idea.

I honestly don't know how, though. What do you suggest?
Also, everyone I've talked to said I was very angry and I'd always make these sarcastic comments that I thought were funny, but were really hurtful. I've gotta stop that.

Excellent question.
Taking a walk is a good idea, it's the best idea. Not to mention that if you find an interesting girl, or are there with someone, a walk is never a bad idea.
Finding someone to distract you is also good. There are always distractions to be found.

But when someone cuts in front of my conversation with a girl, I'd much rather beat the shit out of him than take a walk. Yes, going for a smoke and walk is the smarter choice, but isn't there some way I can fuck him up with my mind or something, so I don't have to get angry and violent?

Re: Whatever happened to love? (Rant)
I'm in a relationship, and I love my partner.
I'd have to say that that's reason enough for me to prefer being in a 'serious relationship'.
But I think I enjoy it more because the love we share is not just a sexual thing, it extends to every moment that we're together, not just when we're physically intimate. Every moment that we share is wonderful and gratifying (yes, even the occasional spat, we all have trouble in paradise), rather than just thirty minutes, an hour, an hour and a half or whatever of our time together. When we're finished having sex, it's not about thinking about what our next sexual conquest would be, it's about cuddling, chatting, playing the piano, listening to music and so on. Not trying to get away from each other as soon as the alcohol wears off =P.
Sex is not the basis of our relationship; it is merely a part of it.
Just another way for us to show our affection to each. It's not a relationship where we use sex to verify the fact that we love each other.
I'm not an unattractive person (at least I don't think so anyway), so I don't need sex from other people to confirm my opinion of my appearance, or to feel wanted and needed. I know I could get sex from others if I wanted it, but I don't.
I love what I have too much.
Im not saying I dont like sex, I do.
I just like sex with partner, rather than with someone I dont really feel connected to.
There, that was short and pointless.

Dude I'd laugh, but I do the same thing. My problem is me and my friends are all mean assholes who verbally tear each other apart and laugh about it/at each other. But goddam is it fun.
Edit: The downside is when we get a group of people together we forget out manners and start ripping on them too, and I guess if you weren't used to holding a strong argument and defending yourself you would be pretty hurt by the kind of shit we say.

I think your problem is you don't meet enough women.

Re: Whatever happened to love? (Rant)
I kinda feel the same way; I don't really want that kind of sex. I don't think it would be worth it to me; I'm just not comfortable around people I don't know that well. I wouldn't necessarily require someone I 'love', just someone I trust and respect.
I don't know, maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way. I just know that I don't feel comfortable with the idea of having sex with a stranger.
