I've seen this option in posters profiles.

Can anyone please tell me what this does/means?

I've love to try it out, but as I dont know what it does exactly, I dont want to try it on a good poster incase it fucks their shit up, and I dont want to try it on a bad poster, ie one with multiple accounts, incase it aggravates them.

I was considering using it on the poster 'Harlequin senior' who I beleive is Aludin with yet another account.
Is the 'post user note' thing a function we can use to attach comments to that posters profile or something? Something to inform other mods?


Please enlighten me.

just put like 'test' or something the field. I'll tell you if it does anything bad.

done. It doesn't look like it does anything bad, just looks like a note about a user. Also, it seems that a user can't see if there are any notes about him.

That's odd. I couldnt see what you posted about me. (hope it wasnt something rude..) but I could see what I'd posted about you.

Btw I've deleted the note on your profile now.

I wonder if this is a mod only thing?
I mean, if *all* posters could do it, then surely most posters profiles would be filled with notes, not all of them nice?

It's just a note about a user. It doesn't do anything.

Registered Users should not be able to post notes on moderator profiles (as of just now).

Are they able to post on other user's profiles?

I find this very usefull, if not to use it for anything other than a 'heads up' for other mods.

Say, we could put a note in if the poster was suspected of multiple accounts, has a tendency to spam or post harmfull links, ect.

Allthough it seems a bit unusual that regulars can use such a function.

Edit: it would be usefull if there was a small icon that showed that the poster has notes, because I'm not sure how many of us check a posters profile on whim.

Yeah, this is a good idea, I can't remember the last time I looked at another users profile.

I just can't figure out why Aludin posts here. Can he really get that much enjoyment out of being hated, annoying people, etc etc., so much so that he keeps on regsitereing new accounts?
