Talking Making armour

I wanna no how to make armour. Ive been to few sites and most of the designs are either cardboard of require a fully equiped forge. I want a helmat, sheild and greaves to start off. Ive only got a hammer and can start up a fire

Well, unless you've got access to $700 ballistics plate then your going to have to settle with the old phonebooks around the waist.

If you're asking how to make medieval armour and shit like that then your going to fail either way. Well actually, then again I guess all you really need is a really hot fire with a couple of arc welders, an angle grinder, a hammer, and maybe some polish to make it look l33t. Even then it would be extremely low quality.

Btw, why the fuck would you need armour for anyway?

The steel will be the most expensive if you plan on making something worth heat treating. You can get 15 N 20 high carbon steel from Admiral, but it needs to be annealed. The next best bet is A36 sheet, which is alot cheaper and can get a rockwell hardness of around 40 if you superquench it.

You just need a stump with a concaved surface, ball and cross pein hammers, bench shears, angle grinder, punches, files, and a large forge.

Oh heavens. First, young squire, you must learn to spell.

Then, and ONLY then, can you google "making armor."

You do not even need a fire to make armor. There are plenty of amateur armorers who make breathtaking suits of armor with only a modified ball-peen hammer, some steel sheet metal, and a tree stump.

Armour isn't a mispelling, it's an alternate spelling. Correcting people is presumptious enough, don't make any mistakes when you do so.

All depends whether you speak in bastardised English or the Queens English.

Tear some phone books in half and duct tape them in strategic places.
