Default Mod for windows forum

Root, may I recommend Trueborn Vorpal as Mod of the 'Redmond' forum? His knowledge of Windows (and coding for windows) is acknowledged by everyone here and he modded T&T successfully until he asked to be removed due to work pressures (he's in Japan I believe).

I assume from the increase in his posting that he has more time these days. However I haven't spoken to him about this.

I think if Trueborn wants it, he certainly has the knowledge of Windows coding.

Yeah, Trueborn knows the likes of .NET and VB inside out...More so than the creators I think.

I'd be happy seeing him mod it if he wanted.

Fourthed.

He's probably the most knowledgeable person on the subject in all of Totse...

Of course, it all depends on if he wants to be modded again...

Uhm Jeff has said before that he likes to "mod by drive by"...

(ie mod them and see if they squeal).

If TV doesn't want to be modded then he'll make his views felt. But I'm guessing this forum will fairly be low traffic and so hopefully he'll have enough time for it.

He would be a real plus as he will actually know why a particular tip/trick/hack works and also what problems it might cause down the line. Then anyone who has used windows knows that changing anything can be fraught with dangers.

I mean....can you imagine NEVER being able to get rid of the paper clip again??! You'd have to kill yourself wouldn't you?

ew, Trueborn.

I know nothing of tech and have nothing to contribute to those forums.

It seems to work fine, but I think that's moreso for first time mods. But for someone that has requested to be demodded, it might be less welcome.

But I don't know the TV situation, so I'm just making baseless assumptions :p

I agree. Trueborn not only likes Windows but knows how to use it and program for it. If there is anyone who I think should be there, it'd be him. I also think he (and probably jeb and toraton as well) would do very well in a programming forum.

What about you, jackketch, could you not moderate this forum with Trueborn if there is a need for another mod?
You've expressed your worldlyness about computaryness

I know a bit but only a bit, i have nowhere near the knowledge really necessary to mod such a forum. That isn't false modesty btw.

I can think of a whole list of people here who have forgotten more about windows than I will ever know.
