I went to Coinstar and cashed in a 1/3 full pickle jar of coins: $40

Deposited a bunch of cans: $1

Bought cigarettes for minors: $1

Sold most of my shitty DVD collection, 18 dvds total (austin powers' movies, King Kong, Jay and Silent Bob, The Rock): $59

Really i just cashed in a bunch of shit i wasnt using.

Now im gonna go hit a bunch of yard sales this Saturday morning and get some stuff to sell on ebay/craigslist. Any ideas on what I should buy?

I'd put most of it into your bank account. Just because you have money doesn't mean you have to spend it. Or spend it on something you can make a profit on.

Always try to bargain with the people at yardsales. You can almost always talk them down a few bucks.

So the coins were already yours right? So -$40. I guess I could say you made money on the cans, but it really isn't worth depositing 50 cans. The cigarettes thing, yes that was not your money. The DVD's were all yours, so you didn't actually make money on that. So you only made $2 for the day. Great Job!
