Hmm what do you think Totse? There is this woman I've come to know and shes absolutely the most gorgeous, intelligent, down to earth person I've ever met. I think I love her.

Though she has a child and is much older than I, I think I'm going to tell her I love her. I don't even know what love is, she'll probably tell me so too. What is it? Should I do it? Knowing how great she is I wouldn't doubt if shes in a relationship already or has interests somewhere. Theres probably 20+ people who feel the same way about her as I do. Kind of discouraging.

There are other words besides love that you can use. If you say that you love her, she'll probably laugh.

Nothing wrong with making the effort if you care, but realize that she may find it comical.

Nah she isn't my teacher. If only English had more affection words... Japanese is good about that.

English has just as many expressions of affection as any other language. Problem is, most people who speak English throughout the world are ignorant of the majority of the diction.

Alright, then my suggestion is to talk to her about the different words in Japanese and then when you get to the one that fits, let her know that it's how you feel.

It may not do any good, but at least it gets it out there for you without going overboard.
