I'm planning on cosplaying at a convention later this year, and need some ideas for who to go as. I'm female, older teen and cos I have *long* hair, wearing a wig isn't a practical possibility. In my search to find an anime character with long dark hair (so a wig won't be necessary) I turn to you, totse.

So any ideas? Preferably a female character but I could pull off male if I tried. So the only real requirement is, as I said, a character with long dark hair. And preferably without a fringe/bangs. Thanks in advance,

Shouldn't you choose a character for yourself? It's kinda not worth it if you're going to be cosplaying some character you don't know about simply cuz it suit you..

Check out that, find a few character that have custumes you like, then if you dont know who they are (as in, where to look for bigger pictures of them), ask here.

I dontk now the name buy my friend who is modelling for me (im taking a break from drawing at the moment) recommends "The girl from Final Fantasy Seven with black shorts and a white shirt, who wears boxing gloves".

Im not sure who the character is, but she says that it would be a good idae because her costume is very simple, and black boxing gloves (thoug she says they are smaller than boxing gloves, so maybe what yo uwant is bag gloves or mixed martial arts gloves) are an easy prop to find.

Isnt dressing up whats fun about it though? Ive watched a fair amount of anime in my day, but I couldnt pull off any of my favorite characters. But it would still be fun to dress in a costume of any character from a movie or TV show.

The first one that came to my mind was Sailor Mars. http://www.gsoftnet.us/Anime/Mars.jpg I always wanted to cosplay as Hinata from Naruto, but we never have any conventions around here or anywhere even close to here. That and I can't sow worth of shit so I would have to buy everything I would need.

Or she could go as Rinoa from 8, it's a fairly simple design too.
