Default Ain't love a bitch?

So, you start talking to someone. You grow attracted to them, and the more you learn about them, the more you like. Their hair, their mannerisms, their interests. You find them to be beautiful, and everything you've ever looked for in a significant other. You spend weeks and months even, thinking about what to say, whether you should make your feelings known. Then eventually, you grow the balls to confess how you really feel, and that's when you find out - They don't feel the same way. Ain't it a bitch?

It feels more and more like the type of person I want, just isn't out there available to me.

Thoughts/suggestions? Feel free to share your stories of pain and heartbreak.

One time.. in band camp.. like this super duper hot chick went down on me.. and literally cleaned my entire dick and balls with her tongue..

I asked her if she loved me, but she would just keep kissing my balls and smiling.

No one is ever going to feel the same way. Everyone is different. If you can only love one person, you do not really love them, just who they represent in your mind.

Learn to love yourself. You're a cool guy, as far as I can tell from yr posts.

To me its much worse when you find someone you love and they say they love you too and then one day you realize that you don't love them anymore and you never will love them again.

I do not believe in not corresponded love seriously. You simply can't love any person that doesn't think you're important or special. That must be passion or crush but not love.

So, so, so, SO fucking true. This shit just happened to me, not even 10 minutes ago. Get those moments where you rub your hands on your head thinking HOW THE FUCK DID THIS HAPPEN? God damn I hate it. Makes me wanna IV some grey goose and punch a few holes in my drywall.

Oh. And it's not gonna stop. Even though you know its never going to work out, every sliver of hope you get you think 'OH SHIT? Maybe this whole situation has changed' because everything seems to be going fucking fantastic with you two. So you try again. And the answers no. And the cycle repeats. And you get drunk again.

Fuck.

Seriously. The conversation went from her letting me try to get her off via cellphone vibration (her pressing it against while I call like 100 times) to us talking about being just friends. She sends me fuckin pictures of her cuteass self, wears shit she knows I like FOR ME, and talks about me taking her places and coming over... I can't fuckin take it, its rediculous.

Im sorry Im drunk. Enough bullshit ranting, I don't know what I'm talking about. I've never had a relationship that wasn't complete bullshit, and I probably never will. I'm just gonna except that and quit bitching.

Thats the same thing as saying your in first gear but the clutch is out. Semantics, fool.

And I know how much it sucks. I wasted a year on something like that, except with far less socialization. But I was so sure she was into me. It was a real letdown.

Friendless, love from no one I want, all alone. Life is great, no?

No, its not bullshit ranting. We've all fucking been there. I'm semi-there right now. I hate these fucking mind games man. Why can't a bitch just make up her mind, you know? Does it get them off acting like irrational hormone bags?

If women weren't so fucking hot, I'd just say to hell with it and live in a cabin in the yukon.

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.” - Neil Gaiman

I'm happy enough to have someone I care about in my life. I question why others don't feel the same.

Life can get in the way sometimes, creating barriers to any sort of romantic or sexual relationship. Just because there are barriers does not mean that your feelings aren't returned, it simply means that there are reasons why the current situation is not condusive to anything beyond friendship. There's no telling what the future may bring. Even if things never move beyond friendship, then you still have a good friend.

If you ask me, love is a emotion that allows us to breed multiple times with the same partner.
When the first person experienced it, he passed on his genes more than others, then when the big volcano thing went down thousands of years ago nmost of the survivors felt love, now we all can.
Its random genetics, do not ever let it guide you.

Yes, love is a bitch.

Then again, waking up at nine o'clock for a guitar lesson with the mother of all vodka induced hanovers, just for the teacher not to turn up is also a bitch.

In fact, pretty much everything in my life is a bitch at the moment.

Ah damn, lets say Im probably in the same sitaution as the OP. Second time this year. First time it was a total failure, even though she liked that I walked her home and helped her around with various stuff. But no, she just wanted a friend.
Now, this time, another she smiles at ya, and you get lost. I walk her home atleast a few times a week now, but I rarly make any move, its not like I wanna bang her, but I even think I love her. So yeah she tolerates me but I dont even know if she likes to hang around me alot, the only times we're together is with some friends of ours and in school, but in school we rarly talk. So yeah, everyday I think I fucked up, that I should somehow do something.
So yeah, next time I plan on just confronting her, the feeling of not knowing whether she really likes me or not is just killing me.

As cliche as that sounds, its true. Whenever it doesn't work out, you try to forget about her, worry about your own life, try to find someone else to fill the sexy void. But then she comes back wondering why you guys dont talk so much anymore, and you guys start talking more and more and then... oh fuck. It's happening again.

For those of you who find past lovers a problem, there is something you need to know: Burning bridges isn't always a bad thing.

Sometimes, flying off the handle and acting like a total fucking madman to the point of them thinking about restraining orders is the MINIMUM of what you need to do to get your life back on track and keep a continuous risk out of your life. Names such as slut, whore, cunt, bitch...releasing of life long secrets (especially if she fantasizes about fucking animals, haha)...posting pictures of her half naked...quoting people who said she looked beastly and so on...linking to an internet page with said photos and quotes on any personal site she has an account on. It's called a clean break. There is no gluing that shit back together, there is no spark of hope that she might someday seduce you again...if you two aren't right, MAKE IT CLEAR.

Some of ya'll might get most of those references, haha.
I haven't heard from that one in some time. She is afraid of me.

Women are fucking confusing man. One minute they look you deeply in the eyes, and swear they love you; the next minute they want nothing to do with you. I wish they'd say what they mean, for once in my life. Fucking crazy.

*EDIT* After a year and 2 months, she decides " I don't love you. It just faded. We can still be friends, though. I don't want this to get in between us." This is, of course, while I'm in a massive depression because my whole family has been kicked out of the property we had, and now we're homeless. And of course, she still wants to be 'friends'. For those of you who don't know, that means she wants you to provide her emotional support, while she ignores you for her girlfriends... And my pathetic ass puts up with it.

Ugh. I've got this one girl, friend of mine for a long time. I told her finally that I had feelings for her, and she claimed to have the same feelings. But now, she "just wants to be friends." And shes still flirting around with me, fucking with my head, and i'm soaking it all up like a bitch. All the while, she flirts with people right in front of my fucking face. Telling me that its nothing, and she still cares for me, but doesn't want a relationship. Goddamnit. Now I need a drink.

I suggest a totse "Cry in Your Beer" meetup. Damn, now whouldn't that be a sight?

As long as what you say includes 'fuck you' or 'go fuck yourself', you'll be fine. Just release the tension that's built up from you knowing you're getting walked on and having done nothing about it.

VERY IMPORTANT EDIT: Keep the vodka! Getting drunk after growing a spine is one of the best physical experiences in this life.

Thats just silly. Whenever you make that announcement you love someone, your relationship is never going to be the same again. Whether or not you truely have a friend after that is up to the other person and just how deep their feelings are for you.

That word "friend" can be so hollow at times. It can mean a person who you can talk to, or it can mean a nice, respected person but with whom you will never talk to again.

Go cry, emo kid.

Does it bother you that the universe is nothing without your own perception? That it could very well cease to exist if you were to kill yourself?

But we do not resign ourselves to such nihilism but instead strive to better ourselves by abstracting everything from chemistry to pure mathematics in our course of life. Thus we say that universe continues to go on without us, while we have absolutely no evidince to support such a claim just as much as I have absolutely no evidence to support the claim that you are any more real as I know myself to be.

Yes, it is that abstraction belief that keeps us from nihilism and affords me an opportunity to use large, arcane vocabulary and pretense to be one knowing philosophy.
