It would be my luck to have this happen.
After months of no female interaction, I suddenly find myself involved with two girls, both happening at almost exactly the same time. Now this would be great, but I'm not the kind of person who can pull that off, nor would I want to, really.

Girl 1 has been my friend for a long time. She is very attractive, and we get along really well. I love spending time with her because she's just fun to be around. Well, of course I liked her when we first met, but I couldn't figure her out, so I didn't make any moves, and it just dissolved into a friendship, but that was alright. Recently however, we hung out one on one and, well, I guess it's more than friendship now. As confusing as she is, I really do like her and I know the feelings are mutual.

Girl 2. She happened just a few days after the aforementioned incident. Also very cute. We've also been friends for a long time. She goes (er, went) to my high school and we're pretty much in the same group of friends. There's always been a little bit of flirtyness between us, but nothing ever came of it until we hung out at my place on Friday and she kissed me. I definitely wasn't planning on that happening, but it did, and I have no objections.

I feel bad about girl 2 because there's some emotion involved with the first one. But the thing is, it's summer of senior year, and I'm off to Chicago in three months for school, so there's no reason for me to be getting into a committed relationship right now, as much as I might like her. So I'm really distraught over what to do.

To add some more fun to the mix, I've got a thing for another girl who's going with our group to Bonnaroo music fest in two weeks. And, oh, there's a good female friend of mine who lives in LA who I might go visit within the next few weeks and I want to leave all options open, so to speak. Gah.

I was thinking that while I'm in town, I'll tell girl 1 that as much as we like each other, it's best not to get emotionally involved, because I don't want to break her heart when I leave. That's actually pretty truthful. If I had to pick between them, I'd pick girl 1, but I don't want to tie myself down, and I don't think she does either. I'll just have to talk to her. If she's cool with it, then I'm good, I guess. But if she wants to commit, I don't know what I'll do. I hope this doesn't sound too assholeish, like I'm trying to keep two girls on the DL or something, because I just don't want to do that.

So totse, I ask for advise from your pool of great wisdom. What do you think I should say to girl 1? And girl 2? And why did I go for months in my life with no females to suddenly this?!

If you pick one, it will be over before you know it, and you will regret not picking the other. Always happens. Mess with their minds, play with their bodies, be young, have fun. In the end, you are going to end up alone anyways.

Personally, I would just go with explaining that you don't feel that you want to get involved seriously with anyone right now, but you'd love to hang out and see how it all goes. That'll give you some time to get more experience with them as a romantic interest, and you'll be able to gauge which one you'd rather continue seeing throughout the summer.

The extra time will also give you time for Bonaroo and LA.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm planning on doing I guess. Sounds like the best course of action. I mean, I know that the longer I keep the both of them going, the worse it's going to end, and then I'd be losing not only two hook ups but two friendships as well if I don't play the cards exactly right, and that will suck. I cannot have that happen because they both mean a lot to me as friends, and it really would be devastating. I know I'll have to end it with one of them relatively soon or else it'll be inevitable.
I hung out with both of them yesterday... and, well, my body is enjoying it of course but my mind is telling me to stop messing with them. Ehh. For the time being I'll listen to my body. :D
