First Night Our Carshopping
It's fun, it's something to do, but didn't seem very productive. I probably tried out 40 cars. Only 3 were unlocked. Here's the breakdown of what I got.
Car 1: Lots of CD's, but most scratched heavily, and out of cases, picked up 2 burns, Coldplay, and a GAP greatest hits CD (some good music on it); 12' small measure
Car 2: Chump change (c. 50 cents); lots of cassettes, didn't bother taking
Car 3: Small, low-quality flashlight; about $10 in quarters
Here's a link http://s149.photobucket.com/albums/s...arshopping.jpg
Any critique on my strategies?
I went out at about 12:45; walked about two blocks and began trying every cars passenger side doors. When inside the unlocked cars, I acted like I owned them, and was just looking for something. I checked the armrest, dashboard areas, glove compartments, and back seats. Any way to improve? I also checked the backs of pick-ups, but only a lawn chair.

Re: First Night Our Carshopping
To increase profit, you need to get into more cars. Therefore, I reccomend investing in a slim jim. A slim jim is a item used to break into cars;

You can bye one from links on this page;
http://www.lockpickshop.com/How-To-Use-A-Slim-Jim.html.
Also, to plan escape routes, use google earth;
http://earth.google.com/
And go at 3am-4am in the morning.

Yeap. Unless you break into cars, you're really not going to get much out of car shopping.

Re: First Night Our Carshopping
allright, so this brings about the question of how to break into cars. Do I somehow aquire some slim jims, and try to teach myself? The link above only really sent me to a $250 course.

SWIM finds them very handy, a little 4x4 piece would work for a window. It spiderwebs the window or breaks it all the way. If a window has tint on it, the window will stay together. So you would have to smash it out with your fists.

I have gotten the same things you have got. tape measure, bag of quarters, several flashlights, and cd's.

Re: First Night Our Carshopping
ya well I now have a partner who has and knows how to use slim jims, so I'm thinking of some great stuff now. Like skis/snowboards in cars during winter, and maybe Christmas presents too.

Dude, don't do christmas presents, that might ruin a kids christmas.
That is just low.
