I think I creeped out some poor girl...
Alright, so in Jr. High (6th or 7th grade) a few girls wanted to know if I "liked" someone. I said I had a crush on this one girl a year younger than me (not really, but I always thought she was really cute), and for some reason they were really surprised (I later found out that they thought I was either gay or didn't like girls). Even though I didn't really know her name (it was Kristen, I was calling her Christian), they took it upon themselves to "hook me up". I never found out what they did exactly, but I can guess they gave her a shitload of notes. Oh, and they all suggested I go talk to her.
Now I have always had problems talking to girls I thought were pretty, because I was scared they might be repulsively unintelligent. This started when I was in the 6th grade but I have grown out of it. I have yet to talk to her still, but I can guess she thinks I am some sort of stalker.
Well now I am a sophomore in high school (and have been for a while now), and she is currently a freshman. I noticed that either she or her friend is a bit creeped out by me because they tend to go the other direction when I am around. Would it make me an asshole if I just let her think I'm a stalker for the rest of high school or should I go talk to her?

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
To be honest this probably isn't much help but:
stop talking to asshole girls who go and make your life that little bit more awkward and I think you might aswell talk to her to clear things up, it is unlikely to make it any worse and the best scenario is that you get her to like you.
Good luck

All this would have been avoided if you hit that shit in grade 6.
It definately wouldn't make you an asshole to not talk to her if you don't want to.

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
...I had a similar situation. I just got her Screen Name, sent her an instant message, and pretty much told her I'm not stalking her.
I told her exactly what I thought of her:
She's hot. But I don't know her enough to make a judgment, let alone stalk her. Whatever happened in the past is not exactly what she thinks.
Make it out that you felt like clearing everything up. Be confident when you tell her, and act like you don't really care what what she thinks about the situation, just as long as she knows she isn't that special.
Most likely she'll just deny ever really caring. Her awkwardness is probably caused mostly by her friends.
Just don't care. It's only awkward if you let it.

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
Bah, I guess I can just get her screen name. I don't know if it is her or her friend who is creeped out by me, so I think it would be best if I can communicate with her when her friend is probably not around. I think I might also ask those girls what happened exactly before I talk to her so that I don't end up sounding like an idiot. For all I know, she or her friend might just not like me and would rather avoid me altogether.

Eh, if I were you I'd avoid asking questions about her. Girls like that would probably just draw it out as you being more stalker esque.

Hmmm... I guess you are right about that... Do you have any ideas on how I should aproach her or should I just avoid talking to her altogether? I wouldn't mind not talking to her altogether, but since I am about to get kicked out of my school (forgot to mention that) unless I can pick up my grades I might not get the chance otherwise.

Well, I mean, if you're confident enough just approach her.
Or, if you honostly think you're about to get kicked out of school, what do you have to lose? Just try to approach her after school... When she's away from all of her friends (could be tough to find that time).
Personally, I'd just approach her. I mean, there has to be times where you walk by and your eyes meet... then it gets awkward. If you feel you have time to stop her, just be like:
"Hey, I don't know about you, but it's been incredibly awkward around you. I'm not exactly sure why, because we've never spoken before... But Hi, I'm (your name). So, now that you know my name, maybe it won't be awkward anymore. Ok bye."
Or, yah know, something along those lines. Just be sure you play it off as not that important... Like it's something you've been wondering about, but don't really "NEED" an answer to.

Only problem is I have never seen her after school and don't know where she hangs out. Bah, I will just go up to her next time I see her and risk being yelled at by a bitchy friend...

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
So, you're in high school and still worrying about something that happened back in grade 7? Shouldn't that stuff seem like ancient history? My suggestion is talk to her...she probably forgot all about that shit that happened that long ago.

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
Before your shatter her notions of having a stalker, have some fun of your own.
Walk by her in the hall, and casually let a rope and a roll of duct tape fall out of your backpack.
Keep a pair of mud-encrusted boots in your locker.
If you drive, have a dirty shovel and a bag of lime in the back seat.
You know, things that'll keep her mind full of all sorts of wonderful scenarios. Just go crazy with the idea. And bottom line, have fun with it.
Then, once you get bored with your little game, you can tell her the truth.

She's uncomfortable because you are uncomfortable, you're the one that is mentally fixated on the little interaction that went on between you guys up until now. Look, it actually is creepy to be obsessed with a girl that you do not even know. So, you can either make it clear to her that you are not some desperate creep, or just keep living with the tension between the two of you. The fact that you are only a sophmore, and she's only a freshman, means that you guys will probably run into eachother a lot throughout the next couple of years. I would say, the best way to go about it would be to ignore her until you guys run into eachother by coincidence, when you get the chance to let her know that you don't give a fuck what she thinks by asking about whether or not her friend is single because want to hook-up with her friend. You will need to be creative when it comes down to it, but that's your best chance of getting out of this without looking like a dweeb.

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
Yea, I think I will just go up to her next time I see her. Can't hurt any, as long as my friends aren't around. I hang out with ugliest, most violent sophomores in the school, but they are really cool. If I don't say I am interested in her they will most likely come along thinking I am trying to hit on her and go for a cock block. Yea... my friends kick ass.

...I hope that was sarcasm. I have some friends like that... But we have a strict rule of NO COCK BLOCKING! That's a golden rule right there. I mean, if I was hitting on a girl and one of my friends happens along, all I say is "C.B." and they're gone.
...You friends don't kick ass if they cock block.
If that really was sarcasm... then kick 'em in the balls every time they C.B. They'll eventually learn.
Oh, and, write her a note? lol
It'll be 7th grade all over again.
Oh, and pics of her. Now. I wanna see what we're all helping you work on.

You guys are not really helping me work on anything, I just feel like an asshole for creeping someone out. I am not well adjusted to being the creepy dude who might do stuff or stalk a person. I also doubt they would pull a cock block on me because they think I am deprived (I am). We just cock block someone when it would be really awesome or appropriate. For example, if someone became mystified by a total slut with VD we would step in to save his ass.

Honestly, we don't know your situation, who you are, how you act, who she is, how she acts, etc... so this is the best advice you'll get in this thread ^^^

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
Bah, I just sent her a message on myspace right now. Guess this whole issue is solved (I didn't have her AIM and she was only accepting messages from friends).
**Bah (again), I might as well forget about it. I sent her a message, she didn't respond and it would make me a bit of an annoyance to approach her in person now so I will just forget about it. It is marked as read so she probably just deleted it, I think I better just go about my business. Meh...**

Re: I think I creeped out some poor girl...
talk to her if it matters to you. it wouldnt make you an asshole to let her believe anything at all. shes just ignorant and jumping to conclusions anyway.. so let it be if you dont care, i say.
i was in a similar situation myself for a while but i talked to her and tried to get her. at first she was kindof going for me but later she diddnt want anything to do with me. i tried to get her to come over while i was high at a party.. bad move i guess and things diddnt quite go as well after that.. then she told people i was a creeper, and that i acted like i knew her and whatnot.. which was weird because i never proposed to know any real shit about her.. in the end it really doesnt matter at all (unless it does).. its up to you two and you dont sound to be in the best spot to make things work well. i recommend to talk to her and go for it anyhow, or to completely forget about her and try and find somebody new cuz shes seems to have pegged you as somebody ur not and thats a really tough one to overcome, and it can take a lot of time too.. the girl im talking about was a rare beauty and she seemed pretty chill and intelligent to top it off.. shes just cute to you so were probably talkin different shit anyway.
