I have been listening to an Elliot in the Morning thing on IVF and sperm donation (DC area morning show). I would like to know more from people who know about it first hand. Is it a viable income for a genetically fit college student? I am just curious.

Around here they try to get the records public on donors so the kids could demand child support and a cut of your belongings when you die. It's pretty fucked up, makes you wonder what kind of idiots actually get to positions of authority

Before you do this, think:
Do you really want someone like me turning up on your doorstep in 18 or so years?
I know you're probably only thinking of the money you'd get right now, but think about how shit might end up. How are you going to feel then? How is your kid going to feel?

But anyway, just make sure you don't have to be responsible, I read about a sperm donor being asked for child support years down the line.

The way I look at it is I get a few hundred bucks, the world gets more robinhoodys, everybody wins.

As long as I don't have to be responsible for the kids upbringing or child support or anything, I'm fine with the idea.

And, if in 18 years, some kid shows up on my doorstep, well, what the fuck, I'll buy the kid a drink, find out about his life, and hopefully he's turned out to be a good kid. If not, it's not my fault he's a douche. Blame his mother.
