I think she's mad at me.
Me and my lady friend have always been in an open relationship. She loves me, and I don't really know what love is. I guess I'm as close to the emotion as can be with her. Anyways, I've always been very physical. I'm very interested in sex, the military and the CIA. I'm not a very interesting person, though. Usually I wind up talking about sex. It's either that or advanced biology/psychology (I didn't really have many friends growing up.)
Anyways, lately she won't answer my phone calls. She won't call me back. She only does this shit when she's mad, and she usually only gets mad because of my mindset. She thinks I'm only concerned with sex, and I don't love her for who she is. I live in Chicago, she lives in Boston. There is no way for me to express myself, and I can't get her flowers or nothin' to apologize. She won't answer my calls. Of course, I don't feel like it's over for one specific reason: She does this shit at least once a year.
What should I do to show her I do "love" her for who she is? I do, as much as I can. She's an excellent person, we've got plenty of like interests. That's how humans connect, right? I'm not being obviously sociopathic, right?

Re: I think she's mad at me.
Well apart from the telling her you love her part, I actually thought it was a good idea. Unless you're really not that type of person. Some people just DON'T write letters. But, if you don't think it'd be weird, why not give it a try? She'll read it, there's no way a girl will leave a letter unopened.
The only other options you have, really, are talking to her on the phone (which isn't an option right now), or going to visit her. But I'm assuming you're not going to travel to Boston just to knock on her door and ask her to not be mad anymore.
Or if you know somebody down there you could ask them to buy her [gift of your choice] and present her with it. But you don't seem like you'd be a sappy romantic. An honest letter/e-mail sounds like the best way to go if she continues to ignore your phone calls.
