I'm only 18 and I'm not going to pretend to know what love really is. My last girlfriend broke up with me. She was a complete wall anyway so I expected as much. Even though she had so many bad things about her I still cared about her and even now I do still. What is that emotion...I don't know what it is. It can't be love, but it's like I care for her well being even. Like I still want to be her friend and be with her but not dating. I never told her I loved her. My best friend and I are now trying things out in a relationship. She asked me if we were going out and I said we don't have to label everything. I want to tell someone I love them someday, just not if I dont. So what is that in-between emotion that's not love but...idk..I'm asking you!?!?!!?

It sounds like a cliché, but you seriously just know. Although a lot of people think they know it when they don't.

And you can love somebody as a very close friend. It sounds like that. If you truly love somebody the line between best friend and anything else is nonexistent anyway.

I already graduated on friday and that was the last time I was going to see her most likely. I still feel that way but I also feel like yelling at her for all the shit I put up with and never overreacted or even reacted enough on. It's like I am mad but thats still there. Meh 2 much to explain. This whole thing goes alot deeper.

Seriously, what does it matter what your "feeling" is called. The only thing that matters is that you feel it.

It boggles me when I see/hear people getting so upset and worked up about whether they "love" somebody or are "in love" or whether so-and-so "loves them back".

The way I see it: If you have an insanely good feeling with somebody, but you don't know if it's love, just sit back, relax, and enjoy it. Because it's not worth it to worry about a stupid label society places on emotions/feelings.
