BCP - effectiveness on transition to sugarpill
Okay, so, I just need my mind eased. I fucked my gf today and jizzed inside. Today was the first day of her placebo week (which she takes the sugar pills), and I was just wondering if I have to worry about being a father or not...She's not on her rag yet, either....we're both kind of iffy about it. Any opinion or info is welcome. Thanks alot!

That's what a couple people have told me, and yeah, I guess it's plausible. We did read the pill info booklet, but to no avail...:(

QFT. It would be kinda pointless if you weren't.
Also, does your girlfriend know that she doesn't have to take the placebo week? If she starts her next pack right away she'll get to skip her period. There's no health risk involved in doing this and she can do it for as long as she wants. No periods FTW!

Technically, It's risky to skip every time. That's why even when they medicate you to have fewer periods they dont make it none, they make it +/- 3 per year. I think something gets messed up. Probably gives you cancer.

it's during the first 7 days of ever taking the pill. technically you're told to wait the full month but the first 7 days is when your body's still adjusting to it.

ya, that one but there was something else too.
i think it had to do with starting the month again after the placebo week and something with the start of the period...
im not sure exactly...

Re: BCP - effectiveness on transition to sugarpill
If she were to go to take her pill one day, and realize she skipped yesterday's, then you'd have to use condoms for awhile.
The drugs stay in your system during the period week so you're protected, as said above. Interestingly, this wasn't provided in the little booklet that came with the pills. I had to go online to make sure.

But doing that leads to super periods. It only happens once a few months, but that few days are hell.

I think you only can do that on some types of pills. Allthough there is no hormone buildup, they're a different dose to the shots and implants.
My doctor got all snooty and cross when I told her I went from one pack to the next, and told me it was unhealthy and bad to do so on that type.
I fucking hate responsibilities. And periods when they come at a bad time.

Re: BCP - effectiveness on transition to sugarpill
you can only skip your period if it's a monophasic pill, and even then you should only be doing it if you've been on the pill for....i think it's more than 6 months? and you should only do it for a MAX of 3 months.

You shouldn't really do it a lot.
And plus, there's spotting. Last time I did it it was like I was pretty much having a light period towards the last few days, was kind of annoying.

Re: BCP - effectiveness on transition to sugarpill
Ah yes, thanks YouLookFourteen. I should have mentioned that.
But as long as it's the right kind of pill, there is no health risk. And since you can do it for as long as you want, you don't have to worry about 'super periods.' There probably will be some spotting for the first little while, but once your past that, it's all good. I really can't remember the mechanics of it, but when your on the pill your period isn't a true period anyway, so it really doesn't matter if you skip it. I don't know enough to explain it, but every single doctor I've asked has confirmed that it's completely safe. I've also read about it from a number of credible sources.
