Just put all the kitchen utensils and power tools in a locked safe and swallow the key?

I know shit will go down no matter what, but what are some things I can do to stop myself from getting pissed off at the fact that she is being grumpy and overly-sensitive?

Quite honestly, there is nothing you can do, other than be more self controlled.
Odds are she's going to get the shits whatever you say or do, and you getting cranky back at her is just going to fuel the fire. I know I get fairly violent/emotional/extremly shitty when I have a period, so maybe you could just hide for a week?

Just try not to get angry. It works for me - if she does get in a tizzy, just ignore it and carry on as normal.

Inform her that PMS is a socially created thing.
Refuse to accept her excuse for being a bitch.

That was very childish. Instead of countering his point you made a reference to violence, much like an adolescent boy would.

Re: Dealing with PMS (guy's perspective)
I never get mad when I have PMS...I just get sick and bloated. I have never understood why there's like this cliche of the "bitchy woman" during that time, because that's just never happened to me./shrug

She's not necessarily bitchy, but grumpy and she has these little annoying quirks.

Same with my girl, we've been together for a little bit but I can already tell when she's going through those days and she isn't bitchy at all.

I think she was making a funny.
that would be fine and all IF it were funny. I bet she's on her period right now because that's the type of comment a bitchy woman with PMS would say.

Re: Dealing with PMS (guy's perspective)
give her a PCP cocktail
but seriously i make her sleep on the sofa
just lock the bedroom door and drown her out with music
usually she screams the house down, falls asleep, wakes up the next morning, realizes how much of a bitch she's being and apologises

I can get a little cranky now and again, but I feel better if whoever I'm with ignores the fact.

Woah.
Do you take everything so seriously all the time, or do you just not like me or something?
Just wondering.

Just tell her it's not a valid excuse for being a bitch then ignore her until she apologizes. PMS is the most retarded excuse for being a total cunt, just don't accept it.

Re: Dealing with PMS (guy's perspective)
According to my psychology text --in all of its wisdom-- only 5 percent of women actually get PMS, but 50% think they have it.
I think mine has it.
Yep.

be extra nice to them, then they feel really guilty afterwards and are generally a bit less angsty next time round.

Only sensible answer in this thread. Everything and anything you do will be judged, so just let her stew for a few days.

Re: Dealing with PMS (guy's perspective)
Or...Alternatively you can just deal with it like everyone else does? There isn't any easy way to deal with it, I dont find it particularly hard though. But my girlfriend is really great. Perhaps you just have to ask her why she's so shitty? Or just dont say anything to fuel it, just..whatever it takes, *shrugs*.

Re: Dealing with PMS (guy's perspective)
There's not a lot you can do, just try be paitent and don't pester her.
My PMS varies from month to month - sometimes I get none at all - generally because I'm not stressed at that time, but boy, catch me with PMS and stressed out from uni etc and I can get VERY abusive. Generally when I can feel myself getting like that I'm locked in my room for the day (I generally only get really wild for a day) and smoke a lot of fucking pot to calm myself down. I hate taking out my PMS on people, and if I do its generally my flatmates that recieve the wrath of Kate, and I always say sorry afterwards (although it doesn't happen often).

Re: Dealing with PMS (guy's perspective)
Date someone who doesn't PMS, or atleast someone who doesn't PMS hard. My girlfriends amazing when it comes to her monthly visiter, she doesn't change at all (Well, not at ALL, one day out of the entire thing she's slightly more sensitive, but other then that, golden), so I have no advice... NO ADVICE AT ALL... Minus what I said at the begining...
