I have a media file that sais it can only be played in 3wplayer, and since its full of spyway and trogans i dont want 3wplayer on my pc, is there a way around 3wplayer or should i just delete the file now?

What extension is the file?

Try VLC media player, it has yet to let me down on whatever media file out there.

Was the movie Spiderman 3?

I got that message, but didn't get the player.

actualy yes, and it was an avi file.

Lol. I think we got a dodgy torrent. Better off re-downloading. Shame it takes 20 hours to get one movie for me.

I started downloading a more reputagble torrent when i started this thread just in case i cant fix the move. Its done, but i want to find another way arround this thing still though because its pissing me off.

hey. I had a file just like yours that, whenever I tried to play it in any other player including VLC media player, was telling me that it could only be played in 3wplayer, so I downloaded 3wplayer, and discovered that indeed it was a real video file and was in fact the video that I expected it to be - this just to answer your question about whether in fact it is a real video file or just a clip saying that you have to download 3wplayer.

Anyway, in the end, I un-installed it because I really don't want yet another video program installed on my computer and I think it's probably full of spyware and crap. If only we could figure out how to mess with the file to get it to play on regular players...

I got that off of a Spiderman 3 aXXo torrent. I googled the 3wplayer and I found this site:

Apparently it's malware so I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
