Default Get With The Program (some posting guidelines)

Some of you still seem to have trouble understanding the few 'rules' this forum has.

First off read, learn, inwardly digest, print off and colour in gold, have tattooed onto left butt cheek Mojo's posting guidelines (you need to scroll down, dipshit)

These will give you a good idea of what will prevent you incurring the wrath of the moderators and regulars in general.

Secondly please note the following points.

1. One word thread titles like 'wtf?' or 'help!!' will incur the Wrath Of The Ketch (hereafter WOTK). If you're lucky then I'll simply edit the title as I see fit . That means its dependant on the caffeine levels in my nicotine stream, whether i'm sober and how much my own kids have annoyed me that day.

2.DO NOT ASK FOR MEDICAL ADVICE. Legally, morally and logically we can't give it at least ,so Root, not without a disclaimer (see 'Headshrinkers' Mission Statement). etc etc.

There are people out there who have trained for years to be able to tell you why your cock has turned black or your 'gina is leaking green cheese. Look under 'Doctor'.

'Medical Advice' includes such diagnostic things as 'what are these spots on my penis?', 'why is my penis red?'.

A good example of what IS allowed is Xiao's 'sore labia' thread..

3.Demanding or asking 'for serious replies only' annoys. This is totse. You either take the rough with the smooth, the inane with the sensible or don't bother posting.

4.Use of 'american baby talk' annoys and will incur the WOTK. This means things like 'bases' and 'making out'. I won't close threads because of it but i may try and find a legitimate reason that would allow me to close it.

Using such phrases means you identify yourself as a teenage american virgin. This also includes the 'White Virgin American Teenager Who Thinks Rap Is Music' talk like 'bros' before hoes'. This is totse, South Central is => that way.

I have a duty to protect you from yourself on this one.

5.Every Mod defines 'spam' differently. If you get a reply to your post from me reminding you that "there is a point when legitimate comment becomes spam" heed the warning and back off.

6.Before you ask for help getting laid or help on what to say to her . READ through the past posts. These topics have been 'done' more often than a crack whore has. While I don't close such threads as a rule I will start to close any that don't have some unique point of interest.

7. This a BBS not an SMS, learn the difference. The only time we use SMs-talk or L33t here is to illustrate or make a telling point (usually sarcastically).

8. This is a message board not a chat room. If you don't get a reply to your thread straight away then DO NOT BUMP! If it falls off the front page without a single answer then sure, go ahead, and bump it once. Otherwise rethink your title and thread content.(All good threads have some hot lesbian action in them.)

oKies, that'll do for a start.

Mojo/P8b/LC-delete, modify, comment as you see fit, please.

Poor Xiao!!!!

First her labia is sore, and now it just got a Little Sticky! : )

What is your deal with "American virgins" or whatever? So some people talk in a different way, are you seriously going to discriminate against them officially?

methinks you power trip too much.

My deal?

Very simple.

They don't seem to able to understand that using those phrases is indicative of a mindset, a mindset or attitude that is infact OFTEN the reason why they aren't getting laid.

If i ever get around to writing that 'jackketch's Guide to Getting Laid' then there will be a huge chapter on 'your attitude controls your altitude..or rather your latitude...'

I say "making out" all of the time! My husband and I are also always talking about what "base" he is trying to get to...But we're just joking when we say that.:P

I say we americans agree to stop using those terms if Jackketch will agree to never, EVER use the word "cunny" again!

Wow, you're right, and that applies to EVERY problem, and thus EVERY way of talking.

So what, then, was the purpose of picking THAT out?

You really have nothing better to do? Totse mods remind me of the old people on the strata council of my building that fines people for having stuff on their balcony or for slamming the doors to loud.

It's kind of sad.

If I see any more of this "How do I talk to her?" or "I think she likes me...WTF do I do?!?!!?!!1!" shite, read carefully on the action I have taken and will take religiously in future:

1) I will log onto TOTSE and come to S&A.

2) My "Moderator Sense" will go crazy and I will sniff out the offending thread.

3) I will scroll down and read the replies.

4) I will post one comment/piece of advice of my own and some sarcasm/meaness on top about reposting old crap.

5) I will close it and ride on into the sunset.

Don't waste our time, please. We like to come here to ask questions and help people out. It's annoying having to come here to close/edit useless, overdone threads when all it takes on your part is some searching.

Also, the above applies to but is not limited to some all time favourite threads such as:

How do I make my cock bigger?
My cock is huge (pics)
OMG, l1ek WTF?!?!!!?!!11!/!
Where can I find (insert type here) porn?!
would you hit this?
How do I stop being a virgin?

Use your brains people...It's not hard.

I have a serious legitimate question, that actually deals with all of Totse....but considering the Mods in S&A seem to be possibly the most rational I figure I'd addres it here. I don't understand this annoyance at "repeat" threads, nor can I figure out a solution to solve it.

The whole point is, how are noobs or people that are NOT posting every single day supposed to know if a thread has been done before or not? First off, (and maybe I'm doing something wrong) I can only go back as far as 4 pages to see past threads...and right now it goes as far back as 5/13. That was exactly 1 week ago. Even if it WERE possible to look at the entire last year's threads, does ANYONE expect a person about to originate a post (no matter if they are newb, casual poster, or reg) think to themselves....."well hold on, let me go check all the thread titles for the last 6 months and see if I can get my answers there". BULLSHIT! Who would be anal enough AND willing to waste such time on such a tedious process????? And hasn't EVERYONE on this forum been a noob at some point in time. The above expectations are assuming that EVERY poster is a reg that spends significant time DAILY knowing each and every thread that is authored.

Really and truly, if people lived up to the standards that Psycho just described above....one would have to waste considerable time on RESEARCH to make sure this topic has been covered before. And the last time I checked, Totse wasn't supposed to be this stringent in posting.....as if we are writing a thesis or something. People log on, take a few minutes to start a thread....and if it has good content then it gets whatever play it deserves. I won't even go into the aspect that VERY VERY RARELY are 2 threads absolutely IDENTICAL, because anyone with common sense can figure that out that most people's scenarios do have many differentiating nuances of the situation, even if the foundational "topic" is similar to other past threads.

Most importantly, why do you care so much?????!????? You read a thread title that has been done before, your eyes just absorbed it in about a millisecond to read. If you DID click that thread, and read the first post and conclude it is exactly the same thing covered just a month ago (again, how the hell is a noob supposed to know that?????) you now just lost about 15-20 seconds realizing its "same ole, same ole". Whoopty fuckin doo!!!!! Are you telling me that 15 seconds of your life that is now lost so overrides the questions/concerns/advice from an OP that has taken the time to post a thread????? Gimme a fuckin break! If your time is THAT "valuable" then perhaps you shouldn't be posting on message forums any how..... and in case of a Mod it seems you are on some power trip trying to just get your ego stroked.

I just don't get it, where is the LEGITIMATE harm coming in "similar" threads?????

Find the threads by searching. It's really quite easy.

Again, you are suggesting that MANY people take the TIME (several minutes) to "search" ........VS........ a SMALL HANDFUL of people that are inconvenienced and "annoyed" having to lose SECONDS of their life reading a repetitive title and/or original post.

So Totse should just cater to the most anally obsessive members??????

I think you're taking all of this too literally. I'm sure that posters aren't expected to peruse every thread that has ever been done before making a new topic. I think what is expected is that people make an effort not to do a topic that is done like once a week. For example: People are ALWAYS making threads about their penis size, problems with their penis, problems getting girls to want their penis and how to get a girl to accept said penis in the butt. These threads become tedious and overdone after a while and I think the moderators just want everyone to make an effort not to start overdone threads all of the time.

Thats pretty much it, thanks for saving me the effort of trying to formulate that into coherent'ish english! :)

There's is nothing wrong with repeat threads within reason. For example we've had a 'most embarrassing sexual incident' at least a couple of times before. But not weekly.

Some days I'll log on here of a morning and there'll be three or even four threads all basically asking the same fucking thing. (usually 'omg she's a guuurl, how do I talk to it??!)

I don't expect people to search for hours but at least look what's on the first couple of bloody pages, 'kay?

...Are you telling me that 15 seconds of your life that is now lost so overrides the questions/concerns/advice from an OP that has taken the time to post a thread?????

Yes...Yes I am.

Now, I can see why you'd be on the moral high-horse about this and I do agree. Closing a "similar" thread would be wrong if it dealt with a couple different aspects of the problem or it was serious enough to the person.
I've seen several threads in a certain time period dealing with "She left me and I feel like hammered shit". I won't close those because they are somewhat different to the last one. Different circumstances, reasons, outcomes, etc.

But if you look, I'm not closing threads with some kind of problem. That's not very nice at all.
I'm talking about the same old bullshit threads that are started by people who can't think for themselves: How do I talk to her, How do I ask her out, What should I do about this?

My time is limited as I can only access the net at work until I can get the damn phone people out to install a phone line in my new place. Therefore I like to be able to post about different things and help people in different ways.
I hate having to look at the first page and see the same old teeny-bopper threads concerning wang size, how and how not to get a date and what that smell is in their underwear.

Answers now:
Your wang is the size it should be and the way the man upstairs made it...Deal with it...We all wouldn't mind a couple extra inches but until you Google it, you'll never know!
You get a girl by talking to them and learning as you go...Nobody is going to be Casa-fucking-Nova on their first attempt, even when they have posted a thread on TOTSE!
The smell in your underwear is where you haven't washed your helmet in weeks...Go clean it and stop being a pikey!
