age question
Okay, the other night my friends and i were gonna go to the movies, or so I thought. It turns out they set me up on a blind date.
Well everything was going good; she was pretty good looking, and a really cool person. She likes me and I like her, but the other day I learned that she is only 15.
I am 18 and a junior in high school/almost a senior.
She will is currently a freshmen/almost sophomore.
My question is do you think that she is too young?
P.S. yes i know of legal issues between 18+ and those younger, i would like to note that i do not plan on having any sexual relations

Re: age question
hmm, i'm 16 and my boyfriend is 18, though the gap seems different because he works full time and doesn't live with his parents.
i can't see 15 & 18 being much of a problem if you can get on as friends with a similar level of maturity, obviously, it's a whole different barrel of fish in the eyes of the law.(is that even a saying or am i going senile?)

Re: age question
It's up to you. 3 years is a lot of maturity when you're a teenager. I do a 16 (or 17?) year old when I'm bored. But I live in Canada where there are government funded orgies.

If there's grass on the field, play on it.
Hell, even if there isn't grass, you can always play in the mud.

It's a 'kettle of fish' if you're saying something is different to something else. It's 'fish in a barrel' when you're saying something is really easy, because it's like shooting fish in a barrel.
I don't think any 18/15 year old can have a relationship that has no sexual side to it, so in my experience your relationship will fail. No sex = no relationship

I hope you know that sexual relations involve pretty much any physical contact of any kind. Kissing is just as illegal as full on intercourse, in most places at least.

Re: age question
It's a mistake. Trust me.
Theres nothing inerhantly wrong with it morally though, so go for it. Then you'll learn from your own experience why you shouldnt do it again. And thats worth more then random posts on totse.

Re: age question
Your friends were playing a practical joke on you. They were expecting you to phone them up and say "Why the fuck have you set me up on a blind date with a kid?" The fact that you are even considering entering a relationship with this girl is absolutely fucking retarded.

Re: age question
I have a friend who is 15 and dating a 21 year old, as well as an 18 year old friend dating a 22 year old. If the age difference really bothers you, then dont see her. If you like her, then fuck it, put the age out of your head. Its only 3 years difference. If you were 35 and she was 32 would it matter? No. So why should it matter now? If you both like each other than go for it and put these useless cock-sucking morals out of your head.
Just remember that morals do not exist, they are abstract ideas formulated by your sub-conscious molded by Government and Religious "laws", and should be completely ignored.

no no...it's not the morals that are getting to him i don't think, it's the jail time. because no matter how "subconsciously molded" his brain is, the laws still exist. you can hate the government all you want, but screw an underage girl and it's still illegal.
edit: and hang on, what the fuck are you talking about? morals exist. the majority of the time they have nothing to do with the law. don't spout your anti-government nonsense if it's just NONSENSE.

Re: age question
yeah morality should be ignored.. why don't i just kill you, or anybody for that matter? why don't i rape women. give me a break. morality is all important, it is what makes this world livable. if you don't want to concern yourself with that you don't deserve life. as long as thoughts are real so are morals.
to the OP: be honest to yourself, and be honest to her. you have the power to help shape her life because you are no doubt among her first real male interests. you might have the opportunity to take advantage of her naivety, so be responsible. if you can handle that, i say go for it.

On the one hand, I tend to agree with you - on the other hand, I've noticed that, universally, people who go around shouting that "morality is all important," or replying to "fuck moralism" where actual morality doesn't apply with obsessions with rape and murder, tend to usually be less moral, and make this world far less liveable, than those who say "fuck morality."
Hitler's Germany was one giant public morals campaign. So was the Inquisition. The underground railroad, otoh, never tried to claim the moral high ground, but just humbly did its work in silence...
...might wanna think about it.

The age of consent list I keep in my pocket says when she turns 16, it's all legal (yes, in Oklahomo).
I'm 16 and going with a 19 year old.... whats the big deal?

gotta say i think you are right.. arguments in morality or asserting a morality have historically manipulated the ignorant and stirred up a lot of bullshit (even today). however stating that morality isnt important or even real is just as shitty. the reason you have those examples is because people will listen to and act in the name of morality. if people could be coaxed in the name of absolving morality the results should be potentially much worse.. just cuz a good thing can be manipulated for bad shit doesnt mean that we should forget it is a good thing <this is essentially my point..
