Okay Sex and Affection, I'm going to be totally honest.

I am a loser. I've never gone on a date before. I have a few reasons, all probably seem irrational.

1: I'm roughly 15 pounds overweight. I know that's not that fat, but it's more weight than I'd like to have and I'm very self-conscious about it.

2: I'm just a very anxious person anyway.

3: I never really had my dad there to give me "tips" or whatever, he gets drunk every night and his advice is always "use a condom". Well, let's start with getting a date, and maybe a first kiss, yes?

4. Even as recent as last year, I have had no friends, due to being very anti-social. No clubs, no sports, no nothing. This year, being randomly thrown into acting after the person playing the lead role quit, I've become better about it.

So, I asked out a girl about 3 months ago. She said "Aww, sorry, I can't". I asked why not and she said that she was about to be suspended for getting caught with a cell phone(which I did find out to be true, she wasn't at school the next day and I asked around).

Oh well. I left it at that. I've since developed my relationship with her, since she's into acting also. Talk to her often now, we hug pretty much every time we meet. She "starts" the hug if that makes any sense.

Now, it's important to know how much I care about her. I still talked to her when she wanted to run away. I still talked to her when she flipped out and had a seizure or something and pissed herself.

So, S&A, I'm guessing you think I should go for it, but maybe I'm wrong. If you think I should, as pathetic as this is, I need you to pretty much tell me exactly what to do. Coach me through it, if you will. :(

The scary thing is I can remember being in the same situation. Luckliy one day she decided I obviously was far too male to get the hint so she grabbed me and kissed me.

So we kissed a while and then i had to get on home. Found out later she'd been gobsmacked that I hadn't fucked her there and then cos she'd wanted to.

I hitch-hiked across an entire country to put that oversight right , I hasten to add (yes she fell asleep during, thats the one).

So what i'm saying is, either man up and just fucking kiss her the next time you hug or go the whimpy-puppy eyed route and say ' I would really like to kiss you *hint*'.

The 'secret' with all these things is simply just to do it!

Sometimes you're gonna get rejected, sometimes she'll tell everyone in school about it and your life will be a living hell for a few days, sometimes she'll slap you, sometimes she'll be really hurt because she truly didn't think of you that way...

and sometimes you're gonna get laid....by her and her best friend together in a hot tub and they'll text you vids of the two of them having hot lesbian sex when you're in class just to get you in the mood.

You gotta get over those fears, that fear of rejection or of fucking up a friendship.

Its a numbers game.

A little advice: When you ask a girl out... Don't ask why if she says no. You're just asking to be put down. Remember, if she can't go on that date with you... It's because she has to visit her whole family in intensive care, and feed her dog. Not because she doesn't like you.

If you make a move... do it with confidence. Follow through, or don't even bother making the move.

It looks to me that you're willing to risk the friendship for a chance at something more. She may not be. If that's her choice, then there's nothing else you can do.

Now, the next time you have a deep conversation with her, sneak a kiss.

Walk up to her, say "What's that over there?!" and point over her right (your left) shoulder, when she turns her head, kiss her on the cheek.
