Default The Crusades part 2

Now i have never been an all out religious nut. I have spent a good deal of my life basking in my atheism. But after the events in my life i have taken up my own beliefs.

You may be wondering what this thread is about :

Atheism : is the new crusades

Ok you have your beliefs atheists and we have ours please respect humanity enough by not deliberately stamping your boot all over something that you don't believe in i have spent a long time resenting all religion all workings of the soul , shit even the existence of good will overcoming instinct.

I personally disagree with the Christian faith due to many many factors but that does not mean i personally try to seek out Christians and break their beliefs and make them believe my opinion. Strip them of their most intimate values just so i can feel bigger and smarter.

And thats all it is just because you believe something why do you want everyone else to believe it so badly.

Atheism is meant to be portrayed as this realist intelligent argument against religion. And at the moment it seems as mature as a whining toddler. I mean if atheism really was intelligent it would realize that atheists aren't necessarily going to be greater contributers to society.

There will never be a place where we all believe the exact same thing. Unless George Orwell's revelations come true.So cant we all simply respect the fact that just because someone is religious doesn't mean that they are stupider or in any way less intelligent than yourself.

The only real humanity lies within respect and care for each other.

I thought it would be about "the shift key, and why i hate it so."

Many religious people are trying to ruin my shit, the shit of others, and yet still the shit of those I directly care for. I will "stamp my boot all over" anyone and anything that does that, thanks and fuck you very much.

Yeah, I'll bet.

I'll explain this one more time: Too many Christians (and other religious groups, for that matter, but let's just concentrate on the biggest group on this continent, shall we?) are trying to impose THEIR beliefs, THEIR morality, THEIR laws on people that disagree with them. In a perfect world I have no problem with just living and let living, but too many of these fuckasses are trying to run everything their way while crying persecution. I can not stand by and let that happen without at least saying *something* to counter it, and still have a clear conscience.

I don't know, ask the people that are trying to make laws based on fucking fairy tales.

Atheism is nothing more than a lack of belief in a god or gods. It says nothing more, nothing less than that. Atheism is the most logical conclusion based on the available information; of course you won't agree because you're a religious fuckass that thinks appeals to emotion are a viable argument.

I respect beliefs that are worthy of my respect, religious beliefs, ideas pulled from bronze age texts and emotional "warm fuzzy places" with no baring on reality, do not fall into that category... especially when the people holding those beliefs seem to think that gives them the right to go around telling ME how to live. If you believe in something as self-contradictory as an all seeing, all knowing, all powerful and all loving god, then YES I am going to laugh at you, because what you believe is stupid.

Anytime an atheist gets pissed at you because you have the emotional maturity of a 6 year old, don't go around acting like we kicked your puppy.

Great! Go tell your religious buddies that, they're the ones that need to hear it.

You're wasting your time. Of faith or not, assholes exist and they don't change their behavior because of heart felt pleas on an internet message board from either side.

There are people too proud, too stubborn, too invested on both sides of this for there to be some massive social coming together where we're just like, "Okay, we all have our beliefs, now let's go use our energy on something fruitful."

It goes more like this,
"You believe anything?"
"Nah."
"Well shit, you're going to hell!"
"Fuck you, there is no god. Don't you know it's a big lie to control you?"
"Fuck you, there is too. Don't you know the proof is before your eyes?"
"Show me the proof! I have science backing me up!"
*continue for awhile; they'll cite meaningless shit, insult the others' ability to think, form into groups, start to get emotional at just how STUBBORN someone can be, both groups thinking they are right, both groups completely incapable of seeing, neither superior to the other - despite what they believe!*
"Well fuck you then! Rot in hell!"
"No dude, fuck you! Wake up!"
*walk away*

And that about sums it up.
