My girlfriend has been basically living at my place now for the last couple of months. She sleeps in my bed every night. I just would like to point out that it's the shit and our sex life is pretty damn good. We don't have sex every day anymore, but only because after a month of that her vagina started hurting too much. Now we just keep it to once over two or three days (although we did it twice yesterday).

It's just so nice to fall asleep every night cuddling up next to the person you love. Does anyone else share a bed with their partner and feel the same way?

It sounds like it is working so well because you lucked out and found someone that is sleeping "compatible" with you. It doesn't always work out that way. If you guys break up, wait to see if the next one is in tune with your sleeping arrangement. Maybe one of you likes to cuddle when sleeping, the other doesn't. Or one likes to spoon, and the other can only sleep on their back. One likes a very warm room, and the other more chilly. Lots of blankets/pillows vs. very few. And I won't even go into the firmness of mattresses.

Enjoy it while you can, and be prepared if she ever gets pregnant it may change her. And not just DURING the pregnancy, but sometimes the physiology is altered forever. In that last trimester of the pregnancy there is MUCH tossing and turning, as well as being very susceptible to wanting temperature changes. One minute she needs to sleep in the Sahara desert, the next Antarctica. Christ, during both of my wife's pregnancies I just gave the fuck up and made the couch my bed for the last month or two.

God I hate when you can't find a place for your arm.

Yes! Dude...sometimes I just want to tell them to piss off and leave me to my side of the bed. Or when you're in spoons all night, and your arm starts to get sore, but theres not a whole lot you can do about it.

I dunno, I'm sure I'd get sick of it eventually. Sure the first few months would be great, but surely you'd get sick of each other? Agh I dunno, I hate the idea of being domestic. I want relationships to be intense, passionate but not all consuming-every-day-joint-account-joint-at-the-hip-going-to-all-social-events-as-a-couple type way.

Is it possible to have a long term partner and keep your independence? and not have to see them everyday? I can only imagine that in any decently long relationship the woman would start nagging at me to move in with her...good thing I haven't had one yet^_^

I'm enjoying it now, but, honestly, I don't know how much longer it's going to last. I'm going to be living with my best friend next year and she absolutely hates him so she will not be around as much, and definitely won't be sleeping in my bed. It's going to suck, I don't even know if we could carry on the relationship.

my boyfriend's bed is quite perfect for sleeping together in. it's a little smaller than a double (what's that called? queen?) so it's not all big and hostile, but with a king size duvet so there's no lack of quilt!
the only time i sleep well is when sharing a bed with someone else, and i'll quite happily sleep in any position (providing i'm not lying straight or on my back/belly). preferably with daniel.
me and my friends somehow enjoy cramming five us into the double guest bed at my one friend's house. it's in a sort of giant alcove so there's walls to keep us all in :) i do love sharing beds

i adore sleeping in the same bed as my boyfriend - as long as it's not a single bed. as much i love him and snuggling, i can't sleep well if i'm not spread out a bit. in a single bed, that becomes difficult.

when you sleep alone after sleeping with someone for a while it's truly awful. my boyfriend and i only see each other every couple of months (for a couple of weeks) and when he leaves i really miss feeling another warm body in the bed.

And funny thing is we tend to change positions many times through the night.. start cuddling, then maybe a spoon, then I'll roll over and enjoy a few hours as if i was alone..

Best way to sleep though, ass to ass.. you have the touch, and the peace of almost sleeping alone.

The only thing comparable in wonderfulness to going to sleep all cuddled into the person you love is waking up all cuddled into them. Luckily both my and my girlfriend like to hold and be held while we sleep, it must suck for people with partners who don't like anybody up against them when they sleep.

Yeah, I love sleeping with my boyfriend. Just not when he's snoring. And apparently I've attacked him in my sleep quite a few times...But other than that it's awesome. :)
