As I mentioned in an earlier thread, SWIM was hanging out with some old buddies of his (one of whom deals meth), got drunk and decided it'd be a good idea to buy some tweak off of the guy.

Found it hard to say no considering this guy claimed that it was "uncut, straight from the source". SWIM figured this probably wasn't true, but at the very least it was probably some potent stuff.

Anyway, the stuff looks uncut...basically looks just like little shards of clear glass.

However, SWIM decided to put a shard on his tongue to see if it tasted bitter like meth normally does. Instead, it tasted incredibly salty

This confuses SWIM, his first reaction was that he'd been ripped off by a friend But then he remembered watching his experienced tweaker friend smoke some of the same stuff the other night and he got super-spun off of just a couple hits.

So...does anyone here have any experience with relatively pure crystal? Did it taste salty?

SWIM would do some to see if it's good or not, but he can't afford to be up all night tonight.

Salt is used to drive the freebase oil into the nonpolar solvent before titration, so maybe he used a bit too much and it came over when he seperated the layers and then titrated.

Meth is apparently naturally salty from what i've heard.

If its the same stuff that got him really twacked out, chances are its pretty good.

Meth is NOT naturally salty. Meth is one of the most bitter things you'll ever taste.

However one of the common cutting agents for meth (MSM) is very salty.

MSM also looks exactly like meth. Sounds like you got some pretty good meth, cut with MSM.
