Opiates in general, make people happier, or at least make me happier. I have yet to hear of a bad trip on opiates (aside from an OD). They also tend to calm people down and make people more comfortable. What I was wondering is could they be used to make a bad trip (from some other substance) go away?

I've had a bad time on them. Do too much and see how you feel. You feel like you are dying. But yeah, I suppose a little bump of H would help someone calm down, just so long as they didn't panic from being so fucked up.

iunno about using them after a bad trip has started, but i know that using them throughout a trip gives a pretty laid back euphoric zone...

Make sure you have enuf to knock you out or keep you high throughout the trip, so you dont get irritable while tripping. Bad trips are usually best dealt with by fighting through them, it makes you a stronger person. Taking xanax or benzos can also help.

Yup. Fighting a bad trip can be a very intense but rewarding experience. The comedown from a bad trip is just terrific. Plus there's alot of enlightenment to be found in bad trips that won't be found in good trips. After I had a really really bad trip (my first time tripping to), I actually didn't regret experiencing it. And I took psychedelics again.

Short giving a shot of Thorazine, the only thing that will get someone out of a bad trip is getting their mind focused on something else.

Since acid - or shrooms - makes you focus very intently one one thing and one thing only [generally], if that thought is a negative one they are going to have a bad trip. But get them focused on something different - preferably something very good - and they will no longer be bad tripping.

I've had plenty of experience with this so I do know what I am talking about.
