Too Much To Ask?
Is it too much to ask for a girl not to text message while I'm on a date with her? Does anyone else hate this? Is there any way i can get a girl to ignore a text message? I want to date a girl, but I am almost certain she will text message, and i think it's just plain rude.
Edit: I took her phone at school today.
We're 16.
And usually I do just take girls cell phones, whether they are text messaging too much, or answering their phone every 5 minutes.

Re: Too Much To Ask?
Stop dating 13 year olds.... Problem solved!
Or MMS back pictures of your dick. That'll either stop her, or quicken the pace of the date up a bit....

Re: Too Much To Ask?
While shes busy texting whip your cock out and smack her in the face with it. Perfect for a 1st date.

Re: Too Much To Ask?
I dont get why people talk on the phone or text message. Cant they Just talk in person, unless its important? I mean come on, I use barley 5 minutes a month.
Edit: do the same thing back to her, and she'll realize what a cunt she's being. Just whip out your phone, start texting right while shes talking to you.

I saw this story on Yahoo about this Text Messaging contest, and this 13ish year old girl said she sends thousands of texts every month. What the fuck?
Texting is so pathetic. People do not have that important of things to say. 4/5 messages are "omg seriously?" It is annoying, and your best bet is to avoid texty girls altogether.
Try to date poor girls. They wont be able to afford texts/cell phones, and will pay more attention to you.

Re: Too Much To Ask?
It is rude. Fucking annoying too.
You're sitting and chatting and her phone goes off...So she sits there tapping away on the keys utterly disregarding the dickhead with the bill money! It's worse when it just happens over and over...Like a bloody conversation via text.
Or phone calls. They are worse...The type where they're like "Oh hey...How are you?...Oh nothing much, what about you?...Yeah....Hmmmm..." and sitting there not even having a real conversation but totally ignoring you!
But yeah...Tell her to turn it off. If she refuses, wait 5 minutes, tell her you're going to the toilet and walk out leaving her with the bill!
That'll teach her!

Re: Too Much To Ask?
Yes, it's too much to ask.
If she isn't interested enough to pay attention, then why should you ask for it?
Beyond that, it's just a quick conversation. If you can't amuse yourself for a few moments, then you should learn how to do so.
I do consider it rude if someone talks on the phone and then pretends that it didn't happen. Otherwise, it's just a method of communication. People have lives outside of you or I, it's a fact of life.
Taking her phone is a mark of a self-centered and petulant child.

I agree.
But yes, texting like that is really rude, and if you ask her to stop, and she has any respect for your feelings, she should. A date is about two people, on a one-to-one basis.

Re: Too Much To Ask?
It's rude if she stops everything to reply. Getting angry just makes you sound desperate for attention though.
In this situation I'd usually ask what she was typing and mess with her a little. If it's someone I don't know I always go with, "Oh, let me see! Tell her/him I said hi". If it is someone I know, then I'll just steal it from her hands and type weird messages.

Re: Too Much To Ask?
Talk to her when she's texting she will probably stop unless she's really rude, if she ignores you she isn't worth the effort.
