Getting a house to pay for itself...
My bro is thinking of renting a house for between 350-500 a month. Heat will not be an issue until fall, so figure a couple hundred more a month right now for utilities. His imediate goal is to get the house to start paying for itself before he runs out of money.
Right now he has ~30 unsexed, two month old plants, and 3 sexed foot tall plants from clones. He has a 1000 watt HPS / MH bulb, and about twenty jars of mushroom substrate. He also has a shit load of growing supplies, a humidifer, 20 qt pressure cooker, poop and bulk bags, and all your other mushroom shit.
With weed taking at least 60 more days to flower, he would have to start getting yeilds from the mushrooms. Think if he cased 20 jars he could get a few ounces by next month?
Does this sound like a good plan in general?
Would he do better to have a back up plan in case the mushrooms don't come through? Other ideas to make money:
- Program online
- Get a shitty job
- Put together a good resume and portfolio, try to get a good job
- Take what shitty amount of money he will be left with when all is said and done and go half on some weed or coke to sell
- Get bulk ecstacy or acid to sell
- Borrow/steal small amounts from a bunch of people (if 10 people could lend me 50 dollars...)
- Sell pirated DVD's (burn them or buy them off the guy who sells pirated DVD's a couple towns away)
- Scrap metal (mainly cars)
- Get pawn shop loans
- Sell clones
- Computer repair? Stealing? Trying to get more credit? ...
Let me know what you guys think. Sorry if it isn't the best post, I can still feel those damn amps.

Re: Getting a house to pay for itself...
Throw a couple parties that cost 5-10 to get in. Have 3 kegs, which will be around $300, and all you need is 30-60 people to come to make your money back plus some if it goes well. Pretty easy for 1 weekend of work, plus you get drunk.
e: Now that I think about it, if i were to rent a $400 apartment, would it be possible to make it a party house every weekend, with kegs? Hell, I could even sell VIP passes for $50, and you pay once and get in as many times as you want. I might be on to something

I'd sell E. If you're in the right market you can buy it dirt cheap and sell it for tons of profit.

True.
I was just thinking if I bought like 1000 E's in America and smuggled them into Australia, I could just move to Australia or New Zealand and live like Scarface.
