Interesting, isn't it, how the US media the last few days is so perplexed over the huge loss by the socialist party in France to the most outspoken conservative in decades.

Interesting also how France's new president immediately spoke of renewing partnership with America. I thought all of Europe, and the rest of the world, hated the United States? At least thats what our socialist media would have us think.

One of the few things that annoys me more than partisan politics is conservative vs. liberalism politics. It seems like not one of them has anything better to do than bickering and mud-slinging, to the point of irrationality. A great example is this constant finger-pointing at the media. Conservatives insist that liberals control the media and that they are responsible for all the ills of the world. Liberals insist that conservatives control the media and that they are resonsible for all the ills of the world. It's fucking asinine.

Really, can you point to a single media source (let alone every single media source that constitutes "our" media) that people take seriously, that actually claims without qualifying the statement, that the entire world hates the United States?

better question, can you find one story where the other country does like us? and not Austraila?

Conservative and liberalism is not a group moron it's a way of thinking, although groups can be made consisting of just one its not the same! And its not nesacarily liberalism in itself but it is how the "new" liberal thinkers are! they are the poisen killing the Earth with thier socialist/PC/ anti-semite/ Anti-christian bullshit thinking ways! Lets see here which ones better when you use common sense,

Conservative- MORAL style thinking, CAPITALIST, not afraid to tell 1billion muslims there wrong and defends Israel, and also doesnt want to kill babys!!!

To tell you the truth, I don't know of any liberals insisting the conservatives control the media. Its blatantly obvious by the way in which the "mainstream" media reports the news that they are liberally biased. The media no longer reports on the news, they create it and have completely lost their impartiality by becoming basically a wing of the democrat party.

For example, when was the last time a democrat politician was shown in a bad light by the media? When was the last time an investigation of a democrat was echoed by the media? When was the last time a "tough" question was asked of any democratic candidate?

What you're doing is called tunnel vision. Or maybe it's just due to listening only to a specific group of people. Same result. The claim is made all the time - you have only to google it as "conservative-controlled media". The biggest difference is that liberals making the claim are typically lumped in with conspiracy theorists as left-wing nuts. And of course it's only crazy if the liberals say it, right?

And in case you haven't noticed, the media has been reporting the Bush Administration's constant labelling of the Democratic party (i.e. the opposition to the war) as terrorist-sympathizers, borderline traitors and Nazi-apologists.
