Default Adobe Photoshop help.
So when I try to open a pdf file in photoshop, it comes up with a grey and white checkered background which makes it pretty much impossible to read. Any help on how to make it just plain white, or at least readable?

That means it has a transparent background doesn't it? Just make a background layer which is white.

A PDF book? Just use Adobe Reader.

It came with the computer. Shit, I've got heaps of programs on my computer that I don't know how to work, got any more smartass questions for them?

make a white layer or a desired colour and make it visible.

make it the background (move the layer all the way down in the layer panel).

now the BG will be white, and you can read your text.
