Default Do you see a point in dating your boy/girlfriend if she's moving...

...overseas for a year? You're both around 22 and have been going out for a year.

What are your opinions on it? Could you make it for a year and only see your girlfriend once or twice during that time, if that?

If you could, what rules would you setup?

Give me some insight.

Discuss.

It depends on the couples relationship I guess.

These threads that end in "Discuss" are starting to shit me. If this doesn't relate to you personally, don't ask for advice. It's not like our input is needed or anything.

Take your hypotheticals somewhere else.

Fuck you.

I'm asking everyone what they would do, that's why I'm posting here. This isn't personal advice because I don't see what's so personal about my post besides an age I threw in.

Stop being a little bitch.

One rule: I go out and fuck other women. You don't go out and fuck other men!

Fuckin' simple.

Grab you are a fucking douche bag, and a moron on top of that. Your girlfriend is probably going overseas specifically to get the fuck away from you.

You don't understand why people would keep "dating", even though the girl is gone for 1 year? Have you never heard of the concept of life partners?

Think about why you have been with her for 1 year. There should be actual reasons for specifically being with her. Do you want to be with her after the 1 year, when she is back?

Fuck. This topic isn't even worthy of discussion. In all likelihood, she won't want to be with you during that time, for one reason or another, so who dumps who first is irrelevant.

The guy who stuck a highlighter up his ass has more understanding of basic logic than you do.

Out of all the "girl moves away for awhile" scenarios I've seen... the success rate has been 0% packed with super lame drama and bullshit. Would not recommend.

My 'lil bro is doing this. His girlfriend is about halfway across the country, going to a different college. I think he's an idiot. But every day he's on the phone or online talking to her.

So far they seem fine. I doubt it'll last four years though.

Personally, I'd end the relationship for a year. No commitments. When she comes back, if both of you are still single, see where you're at.

Do what you have to in order to maintain a relationship. If you both go into it with a positive attitude and don't mind missing each other, then it should work fine.

It takes two to maintain a relationship. So there has to be commitment on both parts.

Best of Luck.

You can bet your ass she'll be fucking other men, therefore you should do the same.
