I've been waiting since I was 13, but last week I finally picked up a H&K USP .40 S&W. I'm in love, I got some Hydra-Shoks from my gun store and 200 rounds of practice ammo.

It has the ban-era 10 round mags, but beyond that it's perfect.

Side note on those Hydra-Shoks: GODDAMN! I hit a watermelon with an AK round, (Wolf JHP to be exact) and it didn't do as much damage to the melon as the .40 HS rounds did. One round and that melon exploded.

Congratulations on the purchase. I have been a fan of HK for many years and many purchases.

Sweet dude, I fell in love with the USP Compact .40 S&W 2 summers ago, I'm planning on picking up one when I come back from this sand covered shitbox Im stuck in right now. It felt great in my hand, and while the 2 kimbers we had had some problems, I had no jams or anything with the usp. Fine engineering it is.
