Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

You are either delusional or ignorant if you support this iraq war led by bush. Period. Alright go ahead and pick one sucker. Buy up the lies and fear mongering you weak minded pawns. Keep buying it cuz you wanna win right? Too bad we already lost a long time ago. I bet Osama might have thought he got us good on 9/11. Little did he know we would end up invading iraq on FALSE information that linked alqaeda to iraq and that iraq had wmds. So instead of continuing to pursue the terrorist responsible for 9/11 and their affiliates in Afghanistan, we invade iraq. Well here we are years later, thousands killed and maimed, billions of dollars spent and a supposedly peaceful nation's reputation destroyed. Osama is laughing. He probably couldnt have dreamed up a better scenario. So if you support us in iraq, you are making us further look like jackasses. Good job.

Iraq had WMDs. Just not nukes. for some reason liberals don't seem to understand this.

And there ARE Al-Qaeda links to Iraq. Did you forget Al-Zarqawi? or did you not even read the news and continue listening to your antiamerican propaganda?

P.S. no I do not support the war... I support the idea, but they are fighting it the wrong way. We should just nuke teh shit out of the Middle East (save Israel) and be done with it.

Saddam Hussein had wmd's. He used them against the Kurds in Hallabja in 1989 and in the Iran-Iraq war. Aside from that point, there is a reason why our enemy calls itself "Al Qaeda in Iraq." Our presence there has drawn terrorists from all over the Middle East to die in the sands. Bin Laden's strategy is predicated on the assumption that America has no staying power, that we are, in his words, a "paper tiger." He looked at all the pullouts in the past, Viet Nam, Somalia, et cetera, and saw those as proof that if the United States is drawn into war, it will eventually retreat. The Iraq war is a test of wills and America will win it, because though the war has been mismanaged and people are sick of it, the public recognises the disaster a precipitous withdrawal would cause, which is why the Democrats have yet to pass a resolution to defund the war. They haven't the intestinal fortitude to put their money where their mouth is, because they know the consequences would have negative political repurcussions. The most likely outcome will be an even bigger troop surge after the next President takes office.

First of all, not all conservatives support the Iraq war.

Secondly, and more importantly, blind liberalism is just as bad a blind conservatism (maybe worse).

Last of all, if the democrats are so great why didn't they do more to stop the Iraq war from ever starting?

Contrary to popular belief basic chemical weapons are no more worthy of the title WMD then C4 is.

the only regret i have about the "war" is that the united states is forced to explain and justify itself to "caring" touchy-feely schmucks like you. it would be a lot better if they could just do their job without mouthbreathers hovering over their shoulder.

you dont know what the war is really about.
i guess im one of the 15% of "stupid illiterate redneck blah blah blahs" who still supports the intervention in iraq. whatever, i can at least comprehend what must be done to protect american national interests- the primary job of a government.

edit: oh yeah, and its virtually impossible for us to lose this war. our objectives have already been met, and it would take something extraordinary to undo that. you are the pawn if you underestimate the united states government. they arent nearly as incompetent as you think.
